Updates on Third- and Final-Round Play at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions
LPGA ^ | 31 January 2026 | LPGA Communications

Play for Round 3 was suspended at 4:18 p.m. due to unplayable conditions on No. 17. Due to continued high winds through sunset, play will not resume today.

As we prepare for Sunday, the LPGA has worked closely with Hilton Grand Vacations and our Golf Channel and NBC partners to implement a plan that provides the strongest opportunity to complete the final round while delivering the best possible experience for players and fans, given the forecasted conditions.

The third round will resume and the final round concurrently will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1. The final round will be split tees in groups of three from 10-11:39 a.m.

LPGA players who have finished will be grouped together according to their third-round result.

The two players still to finish on the front nine will be playing in the final group off No. 10.

The six players who need to finish on the back nine will be playing in the last two groups off No. 1 tee, paired based upon the order they complete Round 3.

Celebrities will be paired together in the first seven pairings off No. 10 and will only play 9 holes on Sunday.

The LPGA is grateful to Hilton Grand Vacations for their continued partnership and collaboration, and we thank our athletes and fans for their flexibility as we navigate these conditions.

We look forward to an exciting finish tomorrow, live on Golf Channel and NBC.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

The LPGA has cut the Celebrity Tournament from 72 holes to 63 holes in order to get the finish inside the television window for network coverage (2 PM - 4 PM Sunday NBC). The main tournament for women's golf winners will be on the MS Now group of channels (Golf).

The celebrities will NOT be paired with the players as usual. Leader Aaron Hicks is the son-in-law of Earl Woods Jnr (husband of daughter Cheyenne), making him related with Earl's brother Eldrick Woods. Will it be Sun Day Red for Aaron Hicks to show his familial side?

Game 7: Aaron Hicks MLB (104), Mardy Fish ATP (103), John Smoltz MLB (102)

Game 6: Jeff McNeil Las Vegas MLB (99), Joe Pavelski NHL (97), Evan Geiselman Surfing (95)

Game 5: Taylor Twellman football (92), Derek Lowe MLB (92), Michael Peña actor (92)

Game 4: Ray Allen NBA (89), Jack Wagner actor (87), Alfonso Ribeiro actor (86)

Game 3: Adam Thielen Pittsburgh NFL (86), Dwight Freeney Pro Football HoF (84), Blair O'Neal model (83)

Game 2: Hally Leadbetter content creator (83), Jon Lester MLB (82), Kevin Millar MLB (82)

Game 1: Annika Sorenstam World Golf HoF (81), JR Smith NBA (80), Brian Urlacher Chicago NFL (78)

Notable LPGA Tournament of Champions celebrities who missed the cut: Chris Boswell (NFL), James "Bubba" Stewart (Supermotocross), Albert Pujols (MLB), Courtney Lee (NBA), Emmitt Smith (Dallas NFL), Marcus Allen (Las Vegas NFL), Larry the Cable Guy, Urban Meyer (Fox CFB, National Champion coach), Roger Clemens (MLB pitcher), Chandler Parsons (NBA), Charles Woodson (Green Bay, later Las Vegas NFL), Brandi Chastain (USWNT, scored the game winner in 1999 FIFA WWC), Tukka Rask (Boston NHL).

Some celebrities are actors and reality show stars that aren't really celebrities.

Scoring: Ace - 10, Albatross - 8, Eagle - 5, Birdie - 3, Par - 2, Bogey - 1. Max Score - 0.

If a player misses the bogey putt, he simply puts an X for Did Not Finish and gets no score on the hole. If a player hits the ball into the penalty area on a Par 3, he can only play two shots -- the third and fourth shots. If the third shot hits the bunker or the penalty area again, he leaves without a putt.

Special rule for television today only: If the Final Group finishes 17, and the leader is at least 11 points ahead of the second-place player (which is insurmountable), the LPGA may ask the leader not play the final hole and immediately be escorted to the clubhouse to sign his scorecard once he is the winner.

Lydia Ko and Nelly Korda are two of my favorite LPGA players so I have some interest in this tournament. Whoever is organizing it has been very creative in getting it completed during this incredible cold spell in Florida.

Some places in Central and Northern Florida have broken cold temperature records that were set in 1977. I find it very interesting that the global warming fearmongers chose the late 70s as the baseline of their weather predictions. If they had shown 100 year weather maps, it would have been obvious that we were not having unprecedented heat. Beginning their data and charts during the extreme cold of the late 70s made it look like the USA was heating up. Back then they were predicting a mini ice age.
