Tim Walz should be treated the same as Mark Kelly, reductions in his military pension due to actions of seditious behavior.
Vanity

Posted on 01/27/2026 4:40:22 AM PST by tired&retired

Tim Walz achieved the rank of Command Sergeant Major in the Army National Guard before retiring in 2005. However, he officially retired as a Master Sergeant due to a reduction in rank for benefits purposes.

Senator Mark Kelly, a retired Navy captain, is facing potential reductions in his military pension due to actions taken by the Pentagon in response to his public statements, which they deemed seditious.

"Sedition is overt conduct, such as speech or organization, that tends toward rebellion against the established order. Sedition often includes subversion of a constitution and incitement of discontent toward, or insurrection against, established authority. Sedition may include any commotion, though not aimed at direct and open violence against the laws. Seditious words in writing are seditious libel. A seditionist is one who engages in or promotes the interest of sedition.

Because sedition is overt, it is typically not considered a subversive act, and the overt acts that may be prosecutable under sedition laws vary by jurisdiction."

It appears that the shoe fits both.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

This is not weaponization. It is fair treatment for seditious behavior.

Reductions in his military pension?! That’s fine as long as it is put in direct deposit while he’s in prison.

A snip here, a snip there. Trim his rank and his income. Yeah, that’ll work.

Enlisted are treated differently than officers. The SECNAV can lower an officers rank. But enlisted have to have a felony or courts martial.

I agree, and I would have never quessed that Tim Walz had ever served in the military, let alone fr 24 years.

Which should make those who believe that serving in this nation's military, makes them patriots. I mean they should already have enough xamples of this already.

Some even question the patriotism, of those who did not serve, such as myself. The question of serving or not, does not tell you anything about how one feels about this nation. I love this nation, which doesn't mean that I have to agree with the leadership of this nation. Those leaders who serve to improve this nation, I respect, those who try to destroy this nation, I do not respect.

Tampon Timmy retired as an E-8 or Master Sargent. Yes he temporarily held the rank of E-9 Command Sargent Major but failed to complete his required prerequisites for perinate promotion. One can be frocked into a position when a enlisted or commissioned slot needs filled. There is no increase in pay but they can wear the rank until such time as the rank becomes perinate. Warrant Officer ranks are prohibited from frocking. Remember the rank and pay grade are two different things. Tampon Timmy was also ARNG which is title 32 where RA(Regular Army) is title 10 so different regulations. Can it be done? Sure but that will take the National Guard Bureau to handle that issue.

During the 2024 campaign, the fact that Walz dropped out of the National Guard when his unit was preparing for deployment to Iraq was a big issue.

He was in the MN National Guard. He would have to cut his own benefits for it to be reduced.

He was reduced in rank for not having sufficient time at the CSM rank. He will start getting his retirement pay at age 60. But, he should be further reduced in rank and commensurate pay for his seditionist activities as Minnesota governor.

Walz was a reservist, never served in a regular active duty unit. He is not subject to the UCMJ after retirement as Kelly is.

Why would Walz care about a puny military pension when he has stolen tens of millions through Somali fraud?

The National Guard is under the National Guard Bureau @ the Pentagon. Walz isn’t in the line.
