We should partition Greenland into Arctic Greenland, to be owned by the United States, and Sub-Arctic Greenland owned by Denmark. Most of Greenland’s rare Earth minerals have been found south of the Arctic Circle, and the United States should share in this natural wealth.
There simply is no question that the United States, as the world’s superpower and primary defender of Western Civilization, must own and fully control Arctic Greenland

Offer the locals a million dollars each. What will they do with the money other than to squander it? I say build a big prison system up there to employ everyone. Win-win.
Trump will get his enclaves. And they will give them to us for nothing. I am sure that development and jobs will increase the GDP of Greenland by quite a bit.
We will also likely get mineral rights. Who knows what is under the ice there.
No need to “buy” anything.
I don’t always like the way Trump does stuff. But I have learned to ignore the process and watch the results. To date, he has done OK.
It might already be ‘partitioned.’ Some geologists believe it’s actually three separate islands but most of it has been covered by an ice sheet that averages a mile in thickness ever since humans set foot on it. So nobody knows for sure what’s beneath it.
Name it Trumpland before a Judge creates a law against it.

About those minerals. The tundra in Russia is chock full of all kinds of valuable minerals. The problem with extraction is the weather makes mining unprofitable. I’m pretty sure the ice situation in Greenland, despite all that presumed “Global Warming” makes extraction unprofitable. If it was profitable someone would be mining it right now. The minerals are not the object. It’s protecting the sea lanes. Hopefully the way the climate is actually changing they will freeze over and make the whole area moot. But if they don’t, we need to patrol them as they represent a new attack vector and THAT is the concern.
I understand that ethnic Danes want to stay with Denmark. But the native Aleuts like Trump.
What about Lend-Lease like FDR did in WWII? Might be an “ease into later purchase so that the people of Greenland would see first how the US would handle it”
We occupied Iceland in 1941. It belonged to Denmark before that.
After the war, they voted to be independent.

We cant have Denmark making trade and commercial deals with China to develop ports, build airfields, establish “communication” or “ research” sites anywhere within thousands of miles from our future Golden Dome strategic surveillance and possible missile interception sites and having their navy or air force troll the Northern Atlantic and arctic

I agree the partition idea sounds useless.
Making America great again includes Trump’s plans for Greenland. We have Americans who think they don’t like MAGA, but it’s only because they’ve been manipulated.
