Roman Holiday, Sabrina (the original), Saving Grace, Shirley Valentine, The Replacements (if you like football), Local Hero. Those are some of my favorites.

Local Hero is one of mine. Went to that very town where it was filmed.

Check out The World's Fastest Indian, a 2005 film about Burt Munro, a New Zealand excentric, played by Anthony Hopkins, who sets a land speed record on an old Indian motorcycle. Not only is the film amusing, but it simply radiates good will and optimism at every turn of the plot.

I'm a fan of movies where the actors are playing out of character.

For instance, I'm partial to Continental Divide (1981), a rom-com starring John Belushi and Blair Brown.

It got decent reviews and Belushi played it straight.

I like a lot of the 80s classics, especially Ghostbusters. And many baseball movies: Mr. Baseball, Mr. 3000, Moneyball, etc.

The wife and I watch Love Actually every Christmas, along with a few other favorite Christmas movies.

I hate to admit it, but there are some silly ones I like as well, like Captain Ron, Big Trouble in Little China, and Hitch.
