Can men get pregnant?
Years ago, such a question would have been an insult to the intelligence of anyone above the age of 8.
And yet, Dr. Nisha Verma, a senior advisor to the nonprofit Physicians for Reproductive Health, attempted a rhetorical bob-and-weave when asked about it by Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) at a congressional hearing on abortion pills Wednesday.
“I take care of people with many identities,” Verma said before expressing a hestitation about where Hawley was going with his line of questioning.
“The goal is just to establish a biological reality,” Hawley said. “You just said a moment ago that science and evidence should control, not politics. So let’s just test that proposition. Can men get pregnant?”
The doc, who presumably knows a thing or two about the reproductive system in humans, dug in — to the detriment of her reputation.
She called “yes/no questions” political tools and insisted Hawley’s query reduced the issue’s “complexity” and was also polarizing.
One wonders if she accused her professors of the same behavior while in medical school at the University of North Carolina.
But admitting that men cannot give birth would subject Verma, a Democrat witness, to ridicule inside her progressive bubble, where identity and ideology trump objective truth and science.

Government controls the health care industry and health insurance. Health care is run for the benefit of health insurance companies and health care industry. The patient is beholden to the healthcare and insurance industries within the bounds the government sets.

This doctor is refusing to answer a basic question of human biology. Why should she have a medical license?
This is deceit at such a fundamental level, NOBODY should seek medical advice or treatment from such a lunatic.

One question, should they be legal. That can be a debate in our modern society.
Then, should the federal government pay for it . That is another debate.
Then, should doctors be able to prescribe them to men, if requested. Whole ‘ nother debate. And who should pay.
The left would seek to use the debate to make headlines if not new law.
Agree! I had the mother of a transgender young man tell me that years ago, gender dysphoria and homosexuality were removed from the list of psychiatric disorders. This made it unprofitable for physicians and psychiatrists to treat those issues, because insurance companies would no longer pay for that treatment. She was so angry about it all. No signs from him, growing up in a completely healthy family - good marriage, sports, church, etc.

I CANNOT understand why EVERY Democrat running for office has not been forced to anwer if they can define a woman or if should perverts dress and undress with underage females or whether these perverts should participate in girls sports.
I can say for a fact that the Democrats elected to state and local office where in 2024 I live AVOIDED going on the public record if they supported Kamala’s position on this issue.
As to Drs, there is no “feel,,,”. They are informed by their medical plans that if they do not toe the line on ideology they will be kicked out.
