Elon Musk just dropped a NUKE on medical careers (Jan 2026):

“Don’t go into medical school.” Elon: “Yes. Pointless.”

I saw a doctor the other day being questioned in front of Congress and this doctor did not know if men could become pregnant or not. I think medical robots will be a huge improvement.

A lot of stuff is already semi-robotic, especially good cancer center places for tumors. This has a lot of potential to really cut down on costs, improve lifespan, and lower mistreatments.

You cant get hacked unless connected to internet. Before internet we had IBM 360 Computers which never got hacked, never needed security apps.

Respectfully submitted: You appear to be unaware of the United States anti-electronics warfare capabilities. They can inject a virus from a military aircraft 10000 feet above the target computer.

I thought Musk listened to the congressional hearings where the actual doctor didn’t know what a woman was. Cant wait for the robots.

Elon Musk on X:

Should I buy Ryan Air and put someone whose actual name is Ryan in charge?

So that's why my code is so buggy these days.

This is Idiocracy! Remember Not Sure’s visit to the future hospital? The guy forgetting which of the three sensors went into the rear end? How about the Doctor with the “tard” ex-wife who is an airline pilot? Will we have to be “scannable”?

“...It is going to be the most transformative product in the history of humanity.”

I remember the last time we had "fundamental transformation."

Or the power goes out, or something new is discovered and not updated on the system cause the circuitry was overloaded by a solar EMF...
The acceptance of robotics is sort of scary....they’ve got these little wheeled delivery bots running around the streets...too easy to pick up and thrown into an electronically sealed compartment of a boxed truck and the contents taken and the precious metals sold.

Medicine’s tailor made for AI... the average doctor asks three questions before making a diagnosis... Luckily ‘common things are common’ and the three question thing works most of the time. But not with trickier things. AI won’t miss on the things that aren’t always ‘common’ and health care will become amazing. Elon might be off by a few years - but the he ‘gets it’...

That assumes patients are logical and sophisticated to fill out the forms and understand the questions and are not ashamed of some things that might be behind their symptoms.

Family docs and regular health care providers often know these hidden facts. Or we notice things like nervousness or signs of depression.

And a lot of time you don’t know what brought them in until they head for the door and say...just one more thing doc.
