I used to be able to hover over my name to see my length here. now it doesn't seem as easy. Am I wrong? Any old school Freepers still hop in here? OMG It just said Freepers is an Unknown topic!!!
My body tells me the same thing, but I don’t care since my mind can’t remember what it said!
14 August 1998 Noob!
May 1998 for me. My 27th year here.
I tried to quit in May 2025 but it didn’t stick.
There is always someone who has been here longer. ;)
I’m 14 August 1998 my FRiend! We are so old that we blow dust when we fart!
That day was so funny
I never talk about my length here. That’s between my wife and me
Since Sep 12, 2001
Still shows when you hover over your name - also you can click on your name and it shows it on your profile page.
Yea, that opus lasted for what, about 3 hours?
You got me by what, 2 weeks!?!?
Hahahaha!!
1998.
Respect.
Wow. 11 years for me. Lurker prior to that.
You could try this ...
- Go to DuckDuckGo.Com
- In the URL/sitename.com line at the top type:
Dad’sScreen-name site:freerepublic.com
and hit [Enter]
Replacing “Dad’sScreen-name” with his screen-name/handle/nickname (on FR) as above - no quote marks and hit enter just start scrolling Dad’s posts
Right click on a link and open a post
If you have his FR Screenname right you should come up with lots just keep scrolling down for one of interest ... or all of them.
Open some with a Right click and select “Open in new tab”, go there and you’ll see his sign up date and maybe learn some things about your Dad you didn’t know.
Good luck! ;-)
November 1st, 1998! 27 years. I checked Drudge for the Lewinsky scandal and clicked on the link.
I registered on 11-28-97. First day of registration on FR.

Same for me. I was reading Drudge Report while Monica was under BJC’s desk and they listed FR as a good site. Drudge has lost it’s mind, but I’m still here.
Must confess I voted for BJC, and right after, quit uber-stressful job at publishing compamy on East Coast and listened to Rush Limbaugh on the radio all the way to San Francisco. By the time I got there, I was a Republican and never looked back.
