CHICAGO — The Obama Presidential Center has opened the application process to fill 150 full-time positions in anticipation of the campus opening later this year in the Jackson Park neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side.
Available positions span multiple departments, including custodial, security officer, facility management, visitor engagement, visitor services, curatorial assistant, grounds keeping and others. The Obama Foundation offers competitive wages and benefits.
The foundation is prioritizing the hiring of Chicago residents. To help identify and recruit local residents for the new roles, the foundation has launched a partnership with four community-based organizations, including Cara Collective, North Lawndale Employment Network, Skills for Chicago and St.Sabina Employment Resource Center.
“From a South Side gardener planting our gardens to a local foodie in our restaurant or a history buff caring for the building, each role will shape the visitor experience,” Valerie Jarrett said in a statement, CEO of The Obama Foundation. “By hiring from our local community, we will ensure the center reflects the spirit of the South Side. Our partners’ experience and community ties will help us identify talent, unlock opportunities, and power the Center with people who know and love this city.”

Who pays for all of these employees? Hopefully not the taxpayers.

Probably none.
None of the Presidential Libraries are paid for by Taxpayers, they have to also have a endowment fund to run these places, which means they will have endless fundraisers and such to get money. Obama. would need to raise at least an additional $300 Million or so for that.
Now the directors of these places may be on the federal payroll as the U.S. Archives is involved due to Presidential Papers.
