Bomb threats have become rare because they used to be called in from pay phones, and pay phones are no more. Making a bomb threat from a cell phone is not too smart.
Sometimes these bomb checking robots are not the best idea. I was stationed At Mather in Sacramento when this one happened and I had to go up there for DPST to watch this happen:
