NBC has given out a pilot order to a reboot of the classic series “The Rockford Files.”
The pilot hails from writer and executive producer Mike Daniels. Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman will executive produce, with Chris Leanza co-executive producing. Universal Television is the studio.
---SNIP--- Along with Garner, the original show also starred Noah Beery Jr., Joe Santos, Gretchen Corbett, and Stuart Margolin. The show ultimately aired for over 120 episodes, while Garner reprised the role of Rockford in eight TV movies at CBS between 1994 and 1999.

Good times. And in at least one episode during a single car chase scene, Rockford went from driving a 1976 Firebird (round headlights) to a 1977 Firebird (square headlights), amazing.

They can’t come up with a new idea that isn’t gay or anti white. Oh wait…Will the new Rockford be a black homosexual? Wouldn’t surprise me.
If they’re gonna make Rockford a woman, can they at least use Jennifer Garner? (probably no relation)
All the car stunts will be CGI and you can bet the trans-lesbian black quadriplegic Rockford won’t do they/them’s own stunt driving like Garner did.
They'd do better if they just copied the concept and changed the names of the characters.

1st off - Rockford will be a Woman, probably black (AA).

Maybe he got her up to 88 miles pr hour and did some time traveling.
Probably the most entertaining show on TV.
Car chases wacky sidekicks. This one will probably be shot indoors and all sound stages, not in the LA streets. Half the fun is identifying all the cars and that ‘65 T-Bird that shows up in half the scenes.
The lead will be either black or a woman.
