I read somewhere that a good number of men that die over the age of 75ish have some level of prostate cancer that was not detected during life.

As a prostate cancer survivor, I can confirm that. Most men over 70 have some level of prostate "cancer," usually so slow-growing that they die of some other cause than the cancer.

EVERY man will eventually get prostate cancer, if he lives long enough. Some get it earlier than others.

That’s one reason why the men die of “something else”...cause the signs and symptoms of beginning prostate cancer aren’t obvious. The diagnosis of early, early cancer is difficult. If they could absolutely diagnosis early, early cancers there would be much more successful therapy. IMHO.

Not all prostate cancer needs to be treated. In fact, getting a biopsy can lead to cancer cells leaking out of the tumor spreading to the blood stream.

Follow your own path when it comes to modern medicine.

As for me, I will probably refuse a biopsy and go buy a pack of smokes, a bottle of redstag, and get ripped and then go on a month long road trip. Visit friends and family.

Then come home and live each day thanking God for the life He gave me, good times and bad.

I had it. Radiation knocked it out to below detectable levels.

My doctor told me years ago the all men will get prostate cancer if they live long enough. My prostate cancer seems to be under control and shrinking. The bone scan was negative, thank you, Lord.
