It's January 2026, and in steps former Christian music starlet Amy Grant, pining for her younger days of the 60s and 70s cultural revolution with her latest single, "The 6th of January."
Not joking 👇
VIDEO AT LINK........................
The lyrics to this thing are the most Boomerslop I've ever read.
References to John Brown and Harper's Ferry, Martin Luther King, Woodstock, and John Lennon's "Imagine."
She says maybe it's the time of year
Or maybe it's the time of man
60's playlist and a beer
I'm suddenly 16 again ...
Hey mister where's the road to Yasgur's farm
He stares at me with pity and alarm
Says that crowd left here long ago
Scattered all to hell and Harper's Ferry
On the 6th of January
This is Amy Grant's message of hatred towards the folks who made her famous.
All of the worst boomer nostalgia incoming...
I hear the words John Lennon said
Asking me to imagine
As I fight this cart with crooked wheels
He's either bent over laughing
Or spinning in his Strawberry Fields ...
And we're driving home and the radio plays
What's goin' on? Marvin Gaye
Is it right on red or left on MLK
I look ahead and realize we've lost our way
So she's a commie now??
We've lost our way? The radical free-love hippies were right? The leftist revolution was the good old days?
Now it's just Trump and J6 playing in her mind.
This will become the definitive holiday song for liberals now, won't it?
Here's a little online reaction for you:

Who?
Virtue signaling by a whore and husband stealer, ok...
Does “Amy DROPS New Anthem”
Mean she has just delivered and released it?
Or that she has now rejected and withdrawn it?
Certain people want to know!
Amy Grant. Used to be a Christian singer. Married Vince Gill after one or both of them left his/her spouse.
Famous for the song, “El Shaddai.”
No bad publicity I guess.
Step up to the microphone.
Take a breath.
Pump the air over your vocal cords.
Use your face muscles to make words.
Go collect your check.
Nowhere in there is anything about spewing out your politics.
Amy is a heretic.
Amy Grant is one of those singers to whom I have a visceral reaction. Whenever she would come on the radio, I would reach to change the station—which my wife picked up on. It has been “a lizard brain thing” for as long as I recall Amy Grant being out there. She laughs out loud when it happens now (a rare event.)
I could never really pinpoint the cause. I just did not like her voice, I guess.
It appears that I just had good instincts.
El Shaddai, a song written by Michael Card.
That was the first time in history police launched tear gas behind protesters trying to get them to back up.
I’d say that I was going to stop listening to her but I never listened to her to begin with. She’s always been a D-List singer who grifted on Christian music. Every once in a while, the mask slips and we see that she’s just as radical of a Lib as any non-Christian singer.
Amy Grant? SMH. Clearly she’s consumed lots of the Kool-Aid. Shame.
When singers can’t hack it in the secular music world, they become “Christians”.
Another Steele Dossidiot
After this little stunt I have a feeling that amongst Christians, it’s going to bring back the debate about “once saved/always saved’.
It was her signature song, whether written by Michael Card or not.
She was Christian to start with. She didn’t GO that direction. She was quite popular. In the 80s or 90s...I do not remember
In the now Swifty parlance it means ‘produced’.............
Yes, she is.
