A runaway wallaby spotted in the parking lot of a New Jersey Walmart store was safely captured when he made a return trip to the store.
The Lots of Love Farm said in a Facebook post that the wallaby, named Rex, was captured in the Williamstown Walmart parking lot Tuesday night.
"If this just didn't become the best night ever! With the help of some really cool kids and a really cool dad. We caught Rex at the Walmart!! He is home safe and sound! Thank you everyone you're all amazing. He must really like Walmart," the post said.
The 3-year-old marsupial had escaped Monday after being moved to a barn amid high winds. Owner Ron Layden said Rex's cage inside the barn hadn't been completely closed.
Rex was caught on camera by multiple witnesses Monday when he made his initial visit to the Walmart parking lot.
"I was just picking up milk for my little brother. My mom sent me here," Klarissa Harper, who captured video of Rex on Monday, told WPVI-TV. "And I'm leaving the parking lot, and I look over, and something's hopping in front of my car."
Thank goodness it wasn’t a koala.
Yet even this is not the weirdest thing you’ll ever see at Walmart.
Not even with a pouch.
Wallabymart.
Or a rare Pepsi Koala.

I avoid the place like the plague.
If I HAVE to get something from there became can’t find it anywhere else, I do the online ordering/park and pickup thing.
Does anyone else remember the kangaroo joke told by Joseph Campbell?
Most people believe the kangaroo pouch is like a pocket. Actually, it is a band with no bottom and the mother holds the offspring by using her abdominal muscles.
The baby stays there most of the time but can peek out. So it’s sort of like another womb.
But this time it’s a womb with a view.

They crack me up and/or horrify me.
