Today's Cryptogram

Posted on 01/02/2026 1:49:04 AM PST by FroggyTheGremlim

Hiya kids! Hiya, Hiya!

Good Morning Crypto-FReepers.

I see some of the same old faces out there.

But that's OK - I like you anyway.

Here's today's quote. I think it's timely.

Some of you will complain about the language.

But I tell you, it's the way it was written.

If anybody needs help, just ask me.

Have fun!!!

Ha Ha Ha!

I'll be good - I will, (like heck) I will.

Ha ha ha.

QSX GYNEN'H Q YQSX, FI GEBHGI VNKEN,

QSX LKN'H Q YQSX P' GYKSN;

QSX TN'RR GQJ Q EKLYG LBXN-TKRRKN TQBLYG,

VPE QBRX RQSL HISN.

- EPONEG OBESH

Where'd I put my magic twanger? Oh, here it is - - -boinng!

Hello, Ready for a mental workout? A Cryptogram is a classic quotation puzzle frequently featured in daily publications. I source the best and most challenging ones to help keep our minds sharp and boost cognitive health!

How the Cryptogram Works

In a Cryptogram, a single letter always stands for another letter.
(Example: AXYDLBAAXR might translate to LONGFELLOW. This is just an example and does not apply to today's puzzle.)
If this is your first time, don't be intimidated-the game is very addictive, and you will quickly master the technique! If you find yourself stumped, simply take a break and return to it later.

Post a Clever Clue

Feel free to post a fun or clever clue-the more tangential to the quotation the better! Just remember that your clue **must not contain the actual words** of the solved quote. Good luck, and enjoy the challenge!

There is ambiguity between my/by even if you know what he is trying to say. My December 31st post was a poem published 36 years before today’s author was born. Neither was initially published as a New Year’s anthem, nor with any tune, just like the Star Spangled Banner. In fact, the later poem was set to music twice, the later score is the one we use today.

It wasn’t a matter of difficulty, just aptness to the occasion.
