Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told evangelical Christian leaders in Florida that Israel is waging a new front against Islamist persecution of Christians worldwide, praising Christian Zionist support for the Jewish state while framing the effort as a “common Judeo-Christian battle.”
Netanyahu met Wednesday with heads of Christian churches and universities, who congratulated him on his meeting with President Donald Trump and praised what his office described as his steadfast wartime decisions.
“You are representatives of the Christian Zionists who made Jewish Zionism possible,” Netanyahu said at the start of the sit-down, crediting Christian support — particularly in the United States — as indispensable to the Jewish state’s “re-emergence.”

A good moral position. Especially as Christians are definitely not winning — and need lots of help— just to survive in a number of countries. Africa and Asia including some especially horrible, dangerous situations for Christians.
What hurts, though, is how those Christians who are the most “advantaged” as in several European countries — apparently don’t give a hoot about their (or their children’s) survival (or faith).

Well, I read Netanyahu as trying to shore up and expand his Jewish and Israel with Christian and USA alliance. It smells like very good international relations, as well as truly a fundamental defense of Western Civilization. I’m in favor of all of that, but I see its several utilitarian bits as advantageous for most everybody.
Except, here on FR we have some folks I affectionately refer to as The Allahu Akhbar Chorus, who, when presented anything that has a Jew within spitting distance find a way to Blame Tha Jooooos (TM), Israel or Netanyahu. Reasonable, metered and occasional opposition to Israeli policy is fair enough. I have mine, certainly. But among “the usual suspects”, you can get anti-Jew posts at rates like 88% of everything they post. The guy who was at 90% eventually caught the Zot when he sided with the Mullahs against Trump. We still have guys here who have rated up to 88% anti-Jew posts.
So, I knew in advance that this topic would attract a few of them. Indeed, I’ll go look to confirm, but I think one did show up as predicted.
