The most recent iteration of the “Battle of the Sexes” only hammered that point home after the 671st-ranked male, Nick Kyrgios, beat the top-ranked female in the world, Aryna Sabalenka, on Sunday in the United Arab Emirates.
And, as Reuters noted, it wasn’t especially close, with Kyrgios winning 6-3, 6-3 in the highly publicized exhibition match at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.

Now race and IQ— don’t make me quote from the Bell Curve
King-Riggs was rigged.
And over the weekend, I had someone tell me that the statistics show that there is no physical difference between men and women when it comes to sports.
What a shock. Men have major physical advantages in many sports, but certainly in tennis.
Serena Williams was on some talk show and they asked her if she’d crush the men (sycophantic, expecting a ‘hell yea’ answer) but she said ‘no, women’s tennis is almost a different sport from men’s tennis because the men serve faster and hit harder, I’d lose 6-0 in 5 or 6 minutes’.
You actually like women?
The last time someone told me that, I cancelled my subscription to Scientific American.
The lesson here is obvious. Nick Kyrgios should self-identify as a woman. That would propel him to the very top of the tennis world.
(/s, of course)
He did have over a 100k in gambling debts that disappeared after the match.
As best I recall, ?(looking is cheating), there was a considerable age (and stamina) difference for that match-up.
“Men can do some things” “but women can do all sorts of things”
Why not keep it equivalent? Why not “women can do other things”. Why always the bending over backward to make the women seem superior? There are differences, some good, some bad. Period.
How about this, if there was a race element, or something regarding immigration, I’d be pissed. I like women better than illegals and foreigners yes
I’ve always thought Sabalenka was HOT, but her face reminds me of Fran Stalinovskovichdavidovitchsky from the Dodgeball movie!
And since you mentioned it. They get their period.
As was this one.
“Kyrgios... faced a disadvantage of Sabalenka’s side of the court being nearly 10% smaller in an attempt to level the playing field.”

Judit Polgar made it into the top ten chess players in the world. That has not been repeated by a woman.
Her father was a talented amateur who tutored the girls. Judit was the youngest of the three. As young girls, they enjoyed playing one another.
What is, and what is innate, is often a question. Did they have great genes? Did their environment create a hothouse for developing their abilities? Both?
that’s exactly what i said. It’s mostly hormones and the arrangement of our giblets. We do need each other. Women are great. i dig women. If i need a police officer, I want a gorilla of a man to show up
He was in his fifties. My 1980 version of “Strange But True Sports Stories” had it on one of the first pages IIRC. But the vibe was similar to pro wrestling or back when Andy Kauffman was doing his schtick.
