An advisory body has warned that Ireland’s population is at risk of what it called a “vicious downward cycle” due to a declining birth rate.
The statement is contained in a report by the National Economic and Social Council (NESC), which researched recent demographic shifts across the country. It calls on the Government to begin planning for any negative impacts from a downward cycle before it becomes too difficult to reverse.
The report says that Ireland’s demographic profile is undergoing rapid and profound change as the birth rate falls and the population ages.
It means an aging and declining population will put increasing pressure on a society, with fewer workers and tax revenues that are needed to support investment in infrastructure and services. […]
NESC Director Dr. Larry O’Connell said the patterns that Ireland is experiencing are being seen across Europe. […]

When elites in government, corporations, and media start their Chicken Little routine about “declining birth rates”, it’s really just propaganda for more mass immigration of cheap Third World Labor. A case in point is Elon Musk and the rest of the Silicon Valley oligarchy, who talk non-stop about shrinking populations while lobbying for more H1B coolies to come to the US so they can work for half the salary of their American counterparts.
They should change the name of Ireland to “ooga-Booga,” or maybe they could call it a series of clicks.

Now I’m some guy in the ghetto who’s not an “expert” nor an “authority” but anyone who thinks bringing in hoards of “migrants” who will lead Ireland to a “more cohesive and inclusive society” is either stupid, evil or both.

The people you're importing do not wish an inclusive or cohesive society.
The Irish already have more people outside of Ireland than in it... So they’ll never really disappear... But the country they formerly called home will likely be full of foreigners and Travelers.
