Thanks.

Like AOC as she first took office saying her fashions would be lewk.

“Lewk” (pronounced “look”) is a slang term for a distinctive, intentional, and often impressive fashion statement or outfit, originating in drag and LGBTQ+ culture and popularized on social media. It signifies a memorable, stylized appearance that goes beyond just clothes, encompassing hair, makeup, and accessories for a cohesive, head-turning vibe, often described as “serving lewks”.

When energy rationing was proposed to help the climate (1970s-1980s) the science fiction writer Larry Niven (Libertarian) said the leftist proposal for energy producing bicycles like adapted exercycles to be distributed to people lacked only one thing to make them totally abhorrent:
a slave placed on top, doing the work producing power.

One bike was seen with the elderly Edward G. Robinson working atop it in the movie Soylent Green. Idea came from actual leftist proposals at the time (1973).

I should have mentioned the current 1973 energy crisis was also to be helped by the exercycle power generators. And solar panels “for low yield energy.”

“I’ll make sure the home has solar,”

If power goes out, your solar can’t be used .
Unless you have batteries which doubles the cost of the solar install .

Closing nuclear, coal and natural gas power plants will solve this! Replace them with wind turbines, solar panels and unicorn farts!

That’s the future!

And just to make sure you are miserable, you cannot have a gas powered generator to save your freezer, etc., but you can have a solar powered generator or E-Cat Cold Fusion generator.

PG&E is a government regulated utility. Blame California Regulators aka CPUC.

AND NO ONE IS EVEN MENTIONING THE AMOUNT OF WATER THEY USE—NOT RECYCLED-—FOR COOLING THE SERVERS.

PGE turns off the power if the wind is blowing!

They always blame everyone but themselves-

“Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) has long been identified as having outdated and aging infrastructure, a critical factor contributing to its history of causing destructive wildfires across California.

Power substations average 60 years in age—20 years older than typical service life—and other equipment averaging 53 years, 18 years above the industry standard.”

This is all over California - yet we are being pushed into EVs b/c of “Climate Change” and “Green Policies.”

Here’s what I got: “AI data centers are specialized facilities designed to handle the high computational demands of artificial intelligence workloads.”

Not very informative, but still better than,

“I'm sorry, Dave. I can't do that."

Same here.

This is why people invest in home solar systems. My provider has dirt cheap per KWH electricity. That is, when it's working. That's why solar will never go away. It will just keep improving it's technology.

At first, our solar was the backup system for when the grid went down. Today, the grid is the backup system. On rare certain days, the system may have to switch to grid power for an hour or two. And, if the grid isn't there, it will start the generator. If we had to, we could just pull the meter and disconnect completely from the grid. I guess it's like a kids' safety blanket. One day, we may outgrow it.
