McDonald's locks doors to keep out individuals who present 'a risk' in crime-ridden Minneapolis area

A viral post featuring a notice from a local McDonald’s restaurant is drawing new attention to concerns about rising crime in Uptown Minneapolis.

Attached to a door, the sign reads: "Attention guests, effective Friday, December 5th, our dining room doors will be locked and attended [to] during our normal business hours of 5am-10pm to ensure a safe environment."

"We will deny access to any individual who we consider a risk to maintaining a safe environment for our guests," it continued.

McDonald's confirmed the notice to Fox News Digital.

Mike Darula, local owner and operator of the franchise, told Fox News Digital in a statement that the venue has "proudly been part of the Uptown community for more than 30 years."

"At our Uptown restaurant, we’ve made some updates to our security measures to help ensure a safe and welcoming environment for both our crew and customers," he added.

The restaurant has faced ongoing issues with trespassing.

It previously tried community-based solutions before ultimately deciding to lock its dining room doors.

It's to keep out Somalis, and everyone knows it. But to say so would obviously be "racist" and invite protests - the owner would lose his business.

I admit I like them - our local stores have been out since mid-December.

Just don't ask what's in them...

McRib month at McDonalds.

Those of us who remember McDonalds back in the 80's and 90's (I worked at one as a teenager) know well how food quality and portion size has gone way down. The chemicals that go into all of the burgers are designed to stimulate the sense of taste and then I have to deal with the brick in my stomach. I cannot bring myself to eat there.

There was a 7-11 outside each of the gates at Homestead AFB, back in the ‘80s. Some of us found ourselves there at night, and the place was locked, and dark. But, if you looked closely, you could see a flickering light behind thr beer, in the cooler. We learned that if we beat on the door long enough, the cashier would poke his head out. He’d come give us the once-over...a few obvious GIs...and unlock the door for us. We’d make our purcheses, he’d lock the door behind us, and go back in the cooler.

Read the fine-print the bottom about Azodicarbonamide.

Azodicarbonamide (ADA) is a synthetic chemical used as a dough conditioner in baked goods (like bread), a flour whitening agent, and a blowing agent for foaming plastics (earning it the nickname "yoga mat chemical"). The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) deems it safe at limited levels (45 ppm in bread), but some countries ban it due to concerns about breakdown products like semicarbazide (SEM) and urethane, which have shown potential health issues in studies, though regulatory bodies continue to assess its safety

Perhaps McDonalds has grown weary of this.

There are many parts to a pig. Seasoned boneless pork is pretty vague.

I live near a small town in Oregon. Drugs are a serious problem there, possibly because there are few recreational opportunities and fewer jobs. Most young people move away.

All of the fast food places have push-button locks on the restroom doors.

You should take a ride after midnight through any metropolitan area and see what lurks. I happen to be caught after midnight in Shreveport, LA. I was astounded at the vermin that were out and about.

My wife and I were recently in downtown Seattle, where a McDonald’s only had a walk-up service. The lobby and seating area were completely blocked off. The staff informed us that there was too much crime for customers to come in. Sad.

The animal from which the Ribwich is made is never specified, but when someone mentions a pig as a possibility, Krusty replies, “Think smaller, and more legs.”

RE: “We will deny access to any individual who we consider a risk to maintaining a safe environment for our guests”...

So in Chicago, Detroit, NY and San Francisco the places will be empty and locked down once undesirables are excluded.

Not to mention all the commuter trains and now even Barnes and Noble stores where a visit by an innocent person may be their last moments on Earth.
