How has the Postal Service escaped the eye of Trump for reform?

Trump already took care of it. It’s running very smooothly under Steiner.
Still losing billions?
It's in the Constitution as a service the government is to provide.
Improvements? More efficiency? Cut mail delivery down to 3 days a week?
He NEEDS to remedy the pay discrepancy between carriers hired before 2013, and those hired after January of 2013. On average the older carriers make 10 THOUSAND more per year year for doing the same job. Over the course of their pay raises, it becomes a $150 thousand dollar difference over their careers.
Improvements? More efficiency? Cut mail delivery down to 3 days a week? Etc, etc, etc
Sick of Junk Mail aka mandatory garbage.
How can it be legal to send me trash that I then have to pay to get rid of?
No! That’s the whole point, replacing older workers as they retire with younger lower cost workers.
Privatize it, just like Germany and the U.K. did theirs.
I for one am very happy with our postal service. Guess I have been one of the lucky ones.
Because that one would require a constitutional amendment.
“Still losing billions?”
Gearing up to help steal the next election as they did in 2020?
Our town’s USPS has a huge banner hanging out front saying the Post Office is hiring. Not sure why that surprised me, but it did.
“I for one am very happy with our postal service.”
Ditto for us, most of the time. We have lived in places where our carrier didn’t speak (and most likely read) English.
Overall, being able to communicate across thousands of miles for pennies seemed to me to be an wonderful thing. Of course, that was decades ago pre-technology.
Guess you are...rates for everything are thru the roof and have been raised several times a year.
Service is slower...Priority used to mean over night, now its a couple days maybe if you are lucky.
A 2lb package shipped from NC to just about any point west of the Mississippi runs $15-$17, and that’s using Ground Advantage.
I still use USPS as it is less expensive than UPS or Fedex...but I can’t pretend its “great”...merely passable.
Good luck with that.
It's a major source of income for the USPS. If not for junk mail, I wouldn't receive any mail at all since all my bills arrive via email.
It is authorized or provided for - things like “post roads”, but that doesn’t make it required does it?
Did you do a search?
“President Trump has indicated intentions to reform the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) during his current administration. These plans involve a significant focus on enhancing efficiency, which may include controversial proposals such as privatization.”
Loose the junk advertising crap that gets delivered for peanuts then cut delivery to 3 days a week
