Just wondering if any other Freepers are spending this Christmas Eve solo. Just my trusty greyhound and me here, settled in for a relaxing evening with a latte, Ralphie Parker and George Bailey.
Anyone else flying solo tonight?
Was 44 years
Still hard to accept
Yes, I do. Stuart the Christmas dog is my loyal companion.
Just me and the wife.
We had plans but the car picked this afternoon to not start.
So Christmas eve dinner was a frozen pizza. But that’s OK. We enjoy each other’s company
Just Daisy Cat and me. But I am going to have a fab Christmas dinner at my daughter’s house tomorrow. Daisy will be home alone then.
Hope you have Christmas day plans too.
To reach my son for Christmas....arrived just in time.
Happy Christmas to one and all,
Merry Christmas, you have lots of friends here!
880 Ched is running its annual Christmas Is radio show. It is a mixture of story telling and Christmas music for those interested.
It is about 6 hours long and they put it on repeat until 6am boxing day. It is a pretty good show.
Anonymous 4's gorgeous rendition of the Wexford Carol.
PS my loving spouse ...married 62 years passed last year.
You too.
May God bless you this Christmas, spokeshave.
More alone than usual. The spouse is a thousand miles away, doing what she can to help our only child... who has fallen on very hard times. I will be holding the fort with the help of the domestic quadruped for a few days.
Big comedown from the Christmas eves of sixty years ago. I try not to think about it too long.
I live in a fairly rural area in South Carolina. There is an Amazon distribution center less than a minute’s drive away. I’ve been in this area for seven years and still haven’t made any real friends. I’d like to relocate to Greenville someday. Got real family and friends there. Until then, it’s just me and the dog.
Prayers for you. God be with you
Very sorry to hear of your wife’s passing. Prayers and God be with you.
He’s a good sport to wear the antlers :)
All alone here in a giant house with three beautiful Christmas trees. I’m contemplating watching Bruce Willis do his thing at Nakatomi Tower this evening.
Read this thread every year and said a prayer for those alone never thinking it may be me.
Lost my hubby in October and had his funeral on the day I met him 50 years ago, same day of the week same date - what irony!
My best to all those in this thread, may 2026 be a MUCH BETTER YEAR
Love to all & God Bless!
Blessings to you and your son hope he is soon recovered from hospital visit
Not alone. I have five cats.
I goofed off and missed The Candlelight Service at church tonight.
I have to work through the holidays so I will not get together with family.
