Jane Slater is one of the top Cowboys reporters — and now she’s clearing up some fake news about herself.
The 45-year-old NFL Network reporter, who primarily covers the Cowboys, responded on Sunday to a bogus report that claimed she had been killed in a “tragic domestic violence incident.”
“I don’t think so? But does this mean there is glitch in the matrix? I’m gonna wrap myself in bubble wrap until NYE,” Slater said responding to a fan who asked if she was still alive while linking to the report.

Some people really do need to get a life
Well, maybe it wasn’t THE Jane Slater...............
she probably had her friend start the rumor so she could get some free publicity. Otherwise nobody would know who she is. Obviously it worked!
And here I thought she was Jackie Slater’s (HoF OL) offspring! Well, maybe she married into the Slater family.
I remember when football was a man’s sport and women hated it.
I’m sure around 99% of nfl channels’ audience is male so it wouldn’t make much sense to put Amy Farrah Fowler on the air.
Eye candy helps insure the remote stays on the coffee table. 😏
The NFL is trying too hard to get women to watch. Look at the refs who will never wear the white hat-too much at stake when they get it wrong.
You would think they could wear the white hat and just repeat what someone upstairs told them to say-like robots. It will happen and go right along with those CHANGE signs all over the helmets.
Definitely needs a paper bag...
