Our country certainly was a different place back in 1961, that’s for sure. Today, as flawed as Kennedy may have been in many ways, there would be absolutely no space for him in today’s Democrat party.

There are people who take extreme exception to anyone who says that he might be a conservative today, and I understand fully why.

But as I said, he certainly isn’t a Democrat of today that’s for sure.

imho today’s republican party is about like the democrat party of 1960. JFK would be as much at home there as his nephew RFK is today.

JFK and RFK were both womanizing idiots who almost got us into WWIII. He certainly set us up in Vietnam.

“Set us up” implies a plan. The Kennedys historically have had no plan other then get laid, lead hedonistic lives, keep starry-eyed admirers starry-eyed and emote whatever “political principles” necessary to stay in public office. That “plan” has worked well for years! Maybe RFKjr is the exception. Time will tell.

I heard the same about them regarding the womenizing.
A doctor friend of mine knew someone who was “in” on the comings and goings of the administration....
The phrase I heard was something like “They had women regularly, like breakfast”
In the book, “A man called Intrepid” it was reported that Joe Kennedy, once his own presidential aspirations was crushed, said that he would “sell his son to the the American people, like soap flakes”

That speech was made before the LameStreamMedia made itself into the virtual mass media arm of the Democrats, Marxists, Progressives and “social activists” of every stripe, becoming itself a set of one-sided advocates, not “reporters”.

This speech or one like it was once posted on YouTube years ago under the title “The Speech that Got Him Killed”, with reference to the theory that the CIA was involved in JFK’s assassination because he opposed the growing “six ways from Sunday” Intelligence State.

I’m not endorsing or rejecting that theory, but you can hear in these words of his why people think it.
