Our country certainly was a different place back in 1961, that’s for sure. Today, as flawed as Kennedy may have been in many ways, there would be absolutely no space for him in today’s Democrat party.

There are people who take extreme exception to anyone who says that he might be a conservative today, and I understand fully why.

But as I said, he certainly isn’t a Democrat of today that’s for sure.

imho today’s republican party is about like the democrat party of 1960. JFK would be as much at home there as his nephew RFK is today.

JFK was pure democrat and would need little adjustment to fit into this current party that he helped so much to create.
