I bought a set of 8 flatware plus serving pieces from a thrift store in October for $30.
I knew, but they didn’t, that it was sterling (92.5% pure) silver.
The net silver weight for melt was 75 ounces, which at recent prices of $66 / ounce makes for about $5,000 in melt value.
Definitely my best ever thrift store find!
GREAT!...................Wouldn’t happen around here, the Goodwills and others are too smart for that............
