He probably gave it to his girlfriend and told her it cost $1.000.

If the driver was a Haitian, he probably ate the cat.
To: Red Badger
I have to ask, is the driver Haitian?

I’d offer to drop charges if he’d return the cat.
Full on consequences if he can’t return the cat.

My neighbor thinks cat burglary should be right up there with dognapping and I know why that is because she’s a PETA activist. /s

If Amazon had any brains they’d offer a reward for the return of the cat.

Maybe he was going to take it to a shelter. No ID and the cat lives outside. She didn’t even notice it was gone until the next day — probably because the food bowl outside hadn’t been touched. Sounds like a regular member of the family.

The sob stories don’t end. The cat had been with the family for 6 years and yet no one noticed it was missing until the next day.. They didn’t see IT HAPPEN as the woman said, they saw it on their camera later....whatever story works...really gets old!!
To: Red Badger
She said the cat is microchipped but was not wearing a collar at the time of the incident. Huff-Medina did not realize Piper was gone until the next day. Maybe the driver thought the cat was homeless, no collar. Secondly, the owner didn't even realize the cat was gone until the next day. Why not?? Don't people keep track of their pets?

IF YOU LEAVE YOUR PET CAT OUTDOORS, EXPECT IT TO DISAPPEAR EVENTUALLY. People with cats they let outdoors in urban neighborhoods do not deserve to be cat owners.

I don’t let Amazon drivers near my house. They all look look like the just got out of jail or climbed over the wall.
To: Red Badger
If the family can’t take the trouble to make it an indoor cat, they’re asking for trouble when they leave it outside.
I realize it’s devastating for them, but you risk a lot if you deliberately leave the cat outside.

We have such a terrible coyote problem in So Cal lately that ALL cats should be kept inside.
