Democrat Party members reportedly are angry that Chairman Ken Martin decided to bury a postmortem of the 2024 election.
Democrats commissioned an extensive internal review of what went wrong after their losses last year only to have Martin decide the public, donors, and even many party activists won't get to see it.
The backlash is coming from inside the Democrat tent, where strategists and operatives warn that refusing to air the findings reinforces a growing trust problem and all but guarantees the party repeats the mistakes.
The DNC's "autopsy," the Washington Examiner noted, followed a bruising cycle in which Democrats lost the presidency, lost the Senate, and failed to win back the House — a trifecta that should have triggered serious, public soul-searching.
One insider told The Hill the party has a habit of "gloss[ing] things over" and pretending "nothing to see here," adding, "And that's how we lose elections."
That criticism goes to the heart of what conservatives have long argued, that the Democrat Party is increasingly run like a brand-management operation, quick to message and slow to confront reality.
Democrats can tout midterm hopes all they want, but refusing transparency about a historic defeat looks like avoidance, not confidence.
The New York Times, which first detailed the internal review, reported that the DNC conducted more than 300 interviews with Democrats in all 50 states.
Martin summed up the rationale bluntly: If it doesn't help the party win, it's a "distraction," according to the Times.
That logic is precisely what critics say is backward.
The Hill reported Democrat operatives worry the party still lacks a compelling, unifying message beyond opposition to President Donald Trump and that "Trump bashing is not enough."

The Democrats upset over Martin refusing to release the report fail to see how not releasing it is their best, meaning least damaging, option.
What he really means is the report makes Democrats look so bad releasing it will cost them dearly until after the next Presidential election.
The biggest mistake the Dims made was running Harris, one of the worst presidential candidates in U.S. history.

What were their choices?
Biden was finally exposed as a guy that belonged in a nursing home on June 27, 2024. The little democrats had no idea he was a political corpse, because they were operating in a liberal propaganda bubble.
After the debate fiasco they bailed on Biden, then they selected Harris to avoid a chaotic shortened primary/ convention battle.
All other democrats with Presidential ambition were always looking towards 2028. They weren’t going to hitch their wagon to two weak horses(Biden & Harris) in 2024.

that’s the question EVERYONE paying attention would really like to know the answer too: the motivation [*WHY* and what did they expect] and who “THEY” were, in other words, WHO was in the inner-inner circle that made the decision, and finally how did that decision trickle out of the inner-inner circle to the different lower levels ...

They should have forced Kamala to choose the relatively popular governor of Pennsylvania - Josh Shapiro - for Vice President.
And, they should have used the Biden strategy in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Specifically - total focus on flipping Democrats who voted for Third Parties.
How close was the 2024 election?
If the Democrats had flipped just 1% of the Trump voters in PA, MI, and WI, Kamala would be living in the White House today.

The leftists think they lost elections last year and this because they “didn’t get their message out”.
I disagree; they lost because their message finally DID get out, loud and clear: Hate, death of innocents, genital mutilation of children, perversion of all things that are good, beautiful, and true, and more death.
That’s their message, and America has heard enough of it!
Hopefully they keep it secret. I wouldn’t want the GOP to copy their mistakes.
