The donkey is in trouble

As my late father used to say, we have more polls than gas stations in this country. I think of that every time that I see a new poll. It seems as if that's all they do in the media these days. Also, everyone seems to have their poll, i.e. Fox News, the Washington Post, etc.

As long we are playing the game of polls, let's share this one. You are not hearing a lot about the Quinnipiac poll. Let's check with Matt Margolis:

Democrats are sinking like a stone, and the new Quinnipiac poll makes it official: their congressional approval rating has hit a historic low of just 18%, with a brutal 73% disapproving. That's the worst number Quinnipiac has recorded since they started asking the question back in 2009. Even CNN's chief data analyst, Harry Enten, couldn't hide his shock, declaring that "Democrats, in the minds of the American public, are lower than the Dead Sea."

The real kicker? Democrats are turning on their own party. Only 42% of Democratic voters approve of how their representatives in Congress are performing, while 48% disapprove. Back in October, the numbers were 58% approval and 36% disapproval among Democrats. That's a 28-point nosedive in just two months.

This is not a universal anti-Congress sentiment either. An impressive 77% of Republican voters approve of their party's performance. The enthusiasm gap couldn't be clearer.

The generic ballot tells another critical aspect of the story. Democrats still lead 47% to 43%, but that's down from a more comfortable 50% to 41% advantage in October. The momentum has swung hard toward Republicans heading into 2026, and the narrowing margin should have Democratic strategists sweating.

On the issues that matter most to voters, Republicans have seized control.

Traditional Republicans (non-MAGA) like to be the party out of power. The can then complain about the Democrats but don’t have to actually do anything.

Republicans need to imprison those running the cheat and do everything they can to stop the cheat.

Any Republican still saying that 2020 was a fair election needs to be primaried. Anyone who says this is either crooked or too stupid to be making policy.

Dems are lower than my recently pumped septic tank. Smells about the same, too.

My observation.
Trump got many people to vote, who are not traditional Republicans.
The problem is that traditional Republicans have a habit to vote regularly.
But the new, Trump Republicans do not habitually vote.
We need to find a way to get them to vote, even if Trump is not on the ballot.

“An impressive 77% of Republican voters approve of their party’s performance.”

Clearly the masses do not know the difference between the GOPe and the GOP who are completely different entities, one is classic uniparty and the other is right-of-center.

And exactly why this country is hanging on by a thread.

Yep! And we have some $40,000,000,000,000 in reasons to prove it. Notice the national debt is perfectly hidden seamlessly no matter who is in charge. And of course the debt limit increase is something the MSM buries every couple of years.

I can think of two ways.

Buy American made alternatives when possible. The more we help each other, the more we help our side win.

Cut the cord, and starve the Democrat's propaganda machine. We can support the media companies we like in other ways.

After 2024, this country was ours to lose, and in 2025 we started losing some of it. If we want to win in 2026, we need to give the "new Trump voters" a reason to stay the course.

What you call the "GOPe"are the real Republicans, and what you call the "masses" know it perfectly well.

Because Democrats are (by their own definition) always right, being unpopular simply justifies more violence...

The party in power almost always loses seats in a midterm election. If Trump can clean up the Rat mail-in ballot fraud machine, Republicans might achieve better results. If dissatisfaction with the Rats continues into 2028, things could get interesting. RFK, Jr. could declare a new party to run for POTUS and bring a lot of former Rats with him. He is ambitious.

Lose the House? And listen to Hakeem Jeffries impeach Trump for the next two years? Hell no!

The one disturbing observation here is the number of Republicans in Congress abjuring re-election. that seems to be a consistent bad sign over the last 50 years.

Just keep in mind that many of those Dem voters who disapprove aren’t Dems, they are communists. They disapprove because they want a bigger shift towards communism. But, they’ll still vote Dem.

We need Republicans to fight for this election and win by greater than the margin of cheat.

They don’t do that. They fight to be in the minority

That is what this week's Turning Point USA conference (here in Arizona!) is about.
