There is no connection, but that won’t stop the incessant clamor of those ignorant of freemasonry to criticize and demonize it.
Those who hate Freemasonry can’t stand the fact that we refrain from judging and condemning the beliefs of other people if they happen to differ from our own. We prefer to focus on what unites us rather than our differences, and to turn harmony and cooperation into benefit for others.
It has been this way for millennia. And we are still here, doing good.
I lived for a while with the family of a friend, where the father was a Freemason. He was one of the finest men I’ve ever known.
(FR has its share of weird beliefs. We just have to take it all in stride.)
The vast majority of Freemasons are great people.
They have no clue about the secrets reserved for those at the very top.
That is why they are called secrets!
