British family are accused of wheeling a DEAD grandmother on to easyJet flight from Spain after 'telling cabin crew she was tired'

One passenger even claimed to have heard one of the group tell the clerk: 'It's OK, we're doctors'.

EasyJet today insisted that the concerned passengers were wrong, the passenger had a fit to fly certificate - and was alive when she boarded the plane.

'I know it's not funny because somebody did actually die, but easyJet ground staff actually allowed someone that looked completely dead onto the plane and then funnily enough, just as we were about to take off, they died.

'Called back to the terminal, whole flight cancelled, everybody pulled off the plane.

'They wouldn't let you on if you were drunk but apparently, it's OK if you're dead and you look dead, and she really looked like she was dead, in a chair, being pushed by her family.

'And apparently the family were questioned by the ground staff and said she was absolutely fine. She was not absolutely fine.

'Everybody that she went past went like, 'Oh my God, she looks dead', and she was dead. So, easyJet, you should be ashamed of yourselves, your ground staff were appalling today.'

An elderly British passenger was wheeled onto an easyJet flight from Spain to Gatwick when she was already dead, horrified holidaymakers have claimed.

The 89-year-old was helped on board the aircraft by five of her relatives who, witnesses say, told airline staff she was unwell and had fallen asleep.

Fellow passengers told how the body had been pushed by a wheelchair to the group's seats at the rear of the aircraft and lifted into her seat, assisted by five members of her family.

They claimed the group had only been permitted to get onto the plane because they told a boarding clerk, who had questioned the woman's apparent ill health, that she was 'just tired'.

Most people don’t know this, but “Weekend at Bernie’s” was more an instructional video then anything else.

"Well, if she doesn't want her mid-flight meal - can I have it?"

Seriously: People don't seem to realize that there are a number of autonomic physiological reactions that take place immediately after death, which can range from "purging" (blood or other fluids oozing out of the mouth) to "relaxation of the bowels" (no explanation necessary).

Regards,

If you buy a ticket the price is pretty reasonable. But once you die...see below prices for transport.

The cost to transport a deceased person on a plane can vary significantly based on several factors. Here are some general estimates:
Domestic flights typically range from $1,500 to $5,000.
1
International flights can cost between $4,000 and $15,000 or more.
1
The average cost for air transport can range from $1,500 to $15,000 depending on distance and airline policies.
1
For international mortuary cargo, expect to pay between $2,000 and $6,000.
1
Overall, shipping a deceased body can cost from $1,500 to $10,000.

It was about $850 to ship my Mom from Atlanta to her family’s cemetery plot in Indianapolis in 2021.

If the family had a ticket for the dead person, I don’t see a problem. Is there a FAA regulation that prevents dead people from flying?

My bet is that this family that hustled their great-Granny onboard dead or alive, were not genuine British Brits. That they were gypsies, Hindus, Muslims, Nepalese, Tibetans, Bangladeshis, Aleutian Islanders, Samoans, Somalians, or whatever, whoever that has recently washed ashore in UK.

Soon Muslim families will fly their dead family members to participate in a round of "farewell sex".

MORE COVERAGE from UK Mirror >>>

The fellow fliers claimed the group had only been able to get onto the plane because they told a member of staff at boarding who questioned the woman’s apparent ill health that she was ‘just tired’. One passenger even claims to have heard one member of the group telling the staff member that it was ok because they were “doctors”.

After the group boarded the Malaga to Gatwick flight and got the elderly woman situated, the plane began its taxi journey to the end of the runway, but moments before take-off the plane dramatically stopped. According to witnesses, suspicious members of cabin crew staff had realised the woman was dead.

According to easyJet, the elderly woman had a fit to fly certificate and was alive whn she boarded the plane. But passengers were adamant that there was something more than tiredness going on. Petra Boddington said: “What were easyJet ground staff thinking today? They asked the family five times if this woman was ok... she was clearly not ok!

“To the naked eye she looked like she was already dead, slumped unconscious in a wheelchair, so why would she be allowed on to the flight and then disrupt everyone’s plans... purely to save the family repatriation?!? If I was drunk they wouldn’t let me on... but apparently dead is ok?! EasyJet what’s going on?”

Another passenger, who chose to remain anonymous, said: “Everyone on the plane thought she l9ooked she when she arrived - she should never have been passed as fit to fly.”

A third passenger took to Facebook to express her outrage at the incident. Tracy-Ann Kitching wrote: “easyJet - you are unbelievable! Why did you let a dead person on our flight?! Special assistance [the service which helps board passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility] are responsible too; they should have raised the issue... I saw her wheeled onto the plane; someone was holding her head as they went past me! An actual doctor on board [confirmed] she was already dead when they put her in her seat.”
