Posters such as you and others on this thread seem singularly focused on the Jewish state, popping up in every thread even tangentially related to Jews or Israel. The Liberty incident is always mentioned. This is gradually eroding and demeaning the Free Republic.
I am weary of it. It is one of the reasons I have stopped my donations.

I’m looking at these vicious attacks on Candace and now Tucker Carlson. They must have said something Israel didn’t like.
I’m not sure why I “come across” as saying that when I’ve never said that. I’ve never said that Israel is the devil. Israel, like all nations, is a mix of good and bad - which is why there needs to be accountability there just as there needs to be accountability here. The fact that you added in the bit about me claiming that Israel is the devil shows that you don’t understand what I was saying, at all.
My question is why it has to be this way - that you have to be 100% on one side and totally blind to any possibility that ALL sides need to be held accountable? I suggested that Israel should be held accountable and you said I “came across” as saying Israel is the devil. Why? Why did you assume that is what I was saying?

I’ll add a personal story. My family knew a guy who was on the Liberty, and who was burned quite horribly. He went through Vaseline, which he carried everywhere like nobody’s business. He swore before the attacks, a Yellow Piper Cub with a big Star of David on it circled the ship, and he and his fellow crew members waved at it. He said there was no way they missed the flag, and mistook the ship.

It doesn’t make them evil, but it also means we should not be paying their bills, and we especially should not have given a nation running pedo-blackmail ops against our elites full unrestricted access to the NSA datafeeds, as the Snowden files revealed.
I don’t think Britain, France, or Germany are allies anymore. We are on our own, and we should only be taking care of our own first.
I’m glad you say that holding Israel accountable doesn’t make a person Hitler. I’ve not seen the posting history so perhaps you’re right about that specific poster. But I’ve heard people be called anti-Semitic just because they recognize that George Soros is funding the destruction of our country. There are real anti-Semites; just look at Bondi Beach. But what a lot of the voices are doing in making every jot and tiddle “anti-Semitism” is calling out so many “wolves” that when there is a real wolf there’s no way to say, “No, but this REALLY IS a wolf!”. And the ADL trying to shut down all dialog about issues leaves a very bitter taste to those who believe that resolution (over and above narratives) is important.
So what is your definition of “anti-Semite”? I also have not followed your posting history so I don’t know that. What I heard him and another poster here say is that a specific action of Israel “friendly fire” against us should be addressed, because it seems it may have been deliberate. Israel has its “Deep State” just as much as the US does, and those who speak against the actions of the US Deep State are NOT “anti-American”.
Tucker Carlson has spoken out about Israel giving China some of our technology forbidden to China, IIRC. I’m not familiar with that story, but if he’s wrong on the facts then the thing to say is that he’s inaccurate, not that he’s anti-Semitic. If he is accurate, then it’s not anti-Semitic to say we should check whether somebody within the ranks of our ally is trying to help our enemy instead.
It’s sort of like saying that rooting out the fraud in welfare is being against the poor. In reality, the fraudsters are stealing from the poor and those who refuse to stop that fraud are stealing from the poor even while pretending they care about them. If Israel’s Deep State is acting against us, they are hurting everybody, and the most Jew-supporting people should be the loudest in rooting that out.
When I hear claims of “anti-Semitism” I pretty much ignore it because the ADL and others have so diluted the meaning that I don’t know whether the “anit-Semitism” means shooting up a Hanukkah celebration, or saying George Soros is funding our enemies. Until the language is regained, “anti-Semitism” means nothing.

You raise very valid points. There is a difference between corrupt Jewish leadership and average Jewish people. Just as there is a difference between corrupt American leadership and average American people.
I haven’t heard everything he’s said, but what I have heard Tucker say is about very specific actions of Israeli leadership, not ragging on everyday Jewish people.
I also understand why the ADL is defensive. There is a rise in real anti-Semitism. But I think they do themselves a disservice by reducing the word “anti-Semitism” to mean nothing because everything is anti-Semitism. As regards the “the Jews killed Jesus” thing, maybe the ADL should just say that it was Jewish leadership who had Jesus killed, not all the Jewish people - of which Jesus was one. Instead of trying to silence those saying something, maybe they should try to counter their point.
What’s really interesting about how the Jewish leaders had Jesus killed is the use of the “You are no friend of Caesar” on Pilate. Pilate belonged to a “friend of Caesar” club which could only be exited by suicide, and those who were perceived to no longer be a friend of Caesar were required to commit suicide. Pilate had also been the leader over Judea when so many Jewish riots took place that the Roman leader had told him that if there was one more riot Pilate would be canned. So the Jewish leaders used their power to cause riots (BLM, anyone?) and their ability to lie to Caesar in order to keep Pilate from doing what was just.
Perhaps the ADL could point out that this was the tactic that the corrupt leadership used but that they stand against the use of those tactics anywhere in the world. That would help their cause a lot more than trying to snuff out all speech.
Ultimately, the only reason the Jewish leadership was able to get Jesus killed is because Jesus allowed Himself to be killed, to pay for my sins. The greatest act of love this world has ever seen. In a worldly sense, what the Jewish leadership did was unjust, although they said they did it because they believed that Jesus falsely claimed He was divine, which - if true- would demand the death penalty from the Jewish leadership. The Talmud is full of bile against Jesus, Mary, and Christians even while admitting that Jesus and His followers did real miracles (not just hoaxes). Many Jewish people came to believe in Jesus because of those miracles but what made it into the Talmud is that Jesus performed miracles through the power of Satan. If that is the case, then I guess YHWH raised Satan from death, which should cause a lot of questions among those who trust in YHWH but believe that about Jesus.
But that is historical and religious analysis, not worldly or governmental/social analysis.
Maybe an apology would be helpful, and maybe an acknowledgement that there have been elements within Israel that are NOT our friends.
And maybe it could be stated that objecting to corruption and sabotage through specific acts is not the same thing as “anti-Semitism”.
I think those things would go a long way.

Looks like Jesus thought it would be the Jews who caused his death. That is why he asked for their forgiveness. Not to forget the Jewish crowd said, “Let his blood be upon us and our children.” They, at least, thought they were responsible for his death.
However, I have never met a Christian who went around holding those ideas in his mind, due to the prayer of forgiveness by Jesus.
Perhaps they allowed him to speak in order to expose him for good.
I sincerely HOPE that’s what it was all about.

The hatred for National Israel 🇮🇱 is astonishing but not unexpected, prophetically.
It is very clearly written in official Islamic Texts to an extended degree.
They entire world 🌍🌏🌎 will eventually come against Israel to destroy her.
This WILL lead to the actual Second Coming of Jesus Christ Himself to Earth.

Only that I’m watching it closely and it seems to be accelerating of late. Also just as prophesied.
