Los Angeles Rams star Puka Nacua has come under fire after devising a touchdown dance which includes an offensive Jewish stereotype during a live stream with two YouTubers.
Nacua, who is in his third season with the Rams, appeared on a stream with popular content creators Adin Ross and N3on earlier this week ahead of their crucial Thursday night showdown with the Seattle Seahawks.
As well as taking a swipe at NFL referees and Taylor Swift, the 24-year-old receiver sparked a more alarming type of controversy when he was captured working on an antisemitic touchdown dance with Ross, who is Jewish himself.
Ross encouraged Nacua to perform the celebration, which first sees him spin the ball and flex before rubbing his hands together, with the latter gesture becoming a signature move of the streamer to reference a degrading concept of Jewish people.
It is unclear whether the NFL player was aware of the antisemitic stereotype the dance is based upon.
Nacua's agent, Justin Schulman of Athletes First, responded to The Athletic's request for comment by saying: 'No comment needed.' Daily Mail has also approached Schulman and the Los Angeles Rams.

“NFL should ban these end zone antics, especially the interception rush to the end zone cameras....................it’s gotten old..........”
***********************************************
Yeah drives me crazy. Especially when they intercept the ball in their own end zone and run 100 yards, with all their buddies,to the other team’s end zone to mug and strut for the cameras. Should be delay of game.
While I’m on a rant.I also hate the 1st down pose after every 3 yard gain. And the dropping of the ball before crossing the goal line in an attempt to celebrate. No, I actually love that one and find it quite funny when they lose the TD and the other team recovers the ball. LMFAO
We've let millions of Muslims into the country that hate Jews and this is what the media is up in arms about?
Anyone upset about this out to be forced to spend some time in Dearborn, Michigan.
All these anti-Semitic cartoon characters
“We’ve let millions of Muslims into the country that hate Jews and this is what the media is up in arms about?”
That way they can do nothing about the actual problems and make people hate Jews by making us look like morons who kvetch about silly crap like this.
FOR THE RECORD: NO ONE CARES ABOUT THIS GUY’S DANCE.
Scrooge McDuck!
Isn’t this the same guy whose brother just stole an NBA player’s car?
Once when Billy White Shoes Johnson limped off the field, John Madden said he must have pulled his boogie muscle. I laughed my tail off about that, and I still do. Madden had a way with words.
Maybe Adam Sandler could write a song about it, a sequel to his Christmas Dreidel song.
I haven’t heard of a jewish touchdown trope. Without watching the video—— what did he do?
This social media culture and its ridiculous sensitivity has gone too far. I love how Sydney Sweeney doesn't care about it and ignores it. Puka should do the same.
But his comments about the refs flagging for "attention" are a big problem with the NFL brass, and he better say he was kidding ASAP or face a major fine.
“...and flex before rubbing his hands together, with the latter gesture becoming a signature move of the streamer to reference a degrading concept of Jewish people.”
What nonsense that gesture only becomes a antisemitic slur for Jews when it accompanies other antisemitic stereotype such as certain facial characteristics and clothing. Otherwise the gesture has long been used to convey that a character is plotting against an opponent (usually an innocent or hero). Think Snydley Whiplash.
This claim is about as stupid as the O.K. gesture being a NeoNazi secret symbol.
There will be no Puka Nacua touchdown dance, the Seahawks defense will not allow it!
Look at covers of “hip hop” albums. Rubbing hands is a very common gesture.
Speaking of classics...
“The next time you make it to the end zone, act like you’ve been there before.”
Attributed to Vince Lombardi
Well, you hung in and won. Credit to a very tough team. Credit also to the Seattle fans who did not head for the exits when down 16 in the 4th quarter.
I don’t understand what the antisemitic part is. Don’t Jews dance?
