Netflix has canceled the LGBTQ-themed military series Boots, which the Pentagon had previously called “woke garbage.”
The Netflix series told the story of a gay Louisiana teen named Cameron Cope (Miles Heizer), who, according to the Netflix description “finds new purpose — and unexpected brotherhood — with his motley team of fellow recruits” after he joins the military during the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy during the 1990s, which barred openly gay, lesbian, and bisexual individuals from enlisting until its official repeal in 2011. Former President Bill Clinton (D) instituted the policy through the Department of Defense. Produced by the late Norman Lear (All in the Family), Boots earned significant praise from critics, with a 90 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes as well as a 7.9 on IMDB, with Ben Travers of IndieWire hailing it as a “sweet story.”

oops, screwed up the copy/paste for the title.
NETFLIX is the Home of Woke Garbage.
Wow. Lear has been dead a couple of years. This travesty must’ve been sitting in the can for a while before putting it out there.
I’m surprised that Netflix took any action based on Pentagon’s input. It would make more sense if they were to double down on it just to piss off POTUS and Hegseth.
Netflix should get a clue from the success of Paramount+ and sneak in some conservative-leaning content. Landman has done a good job once in a while criticizing “alternative energy” vs oil, and jabbing “The View”. It’s been picked up for a third season.
Nobody watches faggy crap...
“Ain’t nobody got time fo’ dat!”
Netflix is “woke garbage”.
Corporal Klinger (Jamie Farr) was, in his way, quite entertaining. But it was made clear that (while the entire show was an anti- war message) “Max Klinger” was a comedic character, not meant to be taken as literal or normality.
The pentagon had nothing to do with the cancellation. Nobody was watching that vile woke BS.
Yawn
Plus he stopped wearing dresses after he took over Radar’s job.
Miss Carbon (The Queen of Coal): now on Netflix!
A transgender woman lands her dream job of working in a carbon mine, but after having the sex-change surgery must face a superstition that bans female workers from entering the underground galleries.
lol!
I cancelled Nutflex quite a while ago.
Do you suppose the recurrent views of toilets in the trailer are symbolic?
“ Another reason to get rid of netflix.”
Get rid of anything queer. I am sick of their nonsense.
That’s the rating from the left wing critics. I wonder what the audience score was.
Me too. The first time Susan Rice joined their board.
I watched the first 10 minutes of episode 1 a while back on Netflix. It took that 10 minutes to realize what the message was.
I was all excited about it till I found it listed as LGBT content on Netflix web site. I realy want to see a tv series telling the story of young men going through basic training. I want a combo of full metal jacket, stripes and forest gump. I myself tried the military 1986. I went through basic training but was pulled 1 week from the end of basic training because I had lied about medical problems when enlisting. I had major depression during my high school years and was on medication right up till the time I left. despite all of this for me it was a positive experience and to this day I have a respect for anyone willing to enlist in the military.
I wonder if guys today experience anything like that.
It took a couple of weeks to process, and this guy was writing stuff on the outside of his letters to his WIFE, like "I'm Coming Home Soon, Honey!", "Love You, See You Soon!"
I picked up on this, showed them to the LT, got that guy an expedited Big Chicken Dinner.
