Dan Bongino on Wednesday confirmed he is resigning from the FBI.
Bongino said he will be leaving the FBI in January.

I will be leaving my position with the FBI in January. I want to thank President Trump, AG Bondi, and Director Patel for the opportunity to serve with purpose. Most importantly, I want to thank you, my fellow Americans, for the privilege to serve you. God bless America, and all those who defend Her.
Shortly before Bongino made his official announcement, President Trump appeared to confirm Bongino’s departure from the FBI in remarks to reporters.
“Dan did a great job. I think he wants to go back to his show,” Trump said of Bongino.

Bongino announced his resignation just weeks after Brian Cole of Virginia was arrested for planting pipe bombs at the RNC and DNC on January 5, 2021.
FBI Director Kash Patel released a statement on Bongino’s resignation.
“Dan is the best partner I could’ve asked for in helping restore this FBI. He brought critical reforms to make the organization more efficient, led the successful Summer Heat op, served as the people’s voice for transparency, and delivered major breakthroughs in long unsolved cases like the pipe bomb investigation. And that’s only a small part of the work he went about every single day delivering for America,” Patel said.
“He not only completed his mission – he far exceeded it. We will miss him but I’m thankful he accepted the call to serve. Our country is better and safer for it,” Patel added.

I am of about the same opinion, unless he turns whistleblower. He did seem to have a throwdown with Bondi over the Esptein files.
That maybe entirely true, but most of the people on our side fold immediately after getting to Washington, they opt for things like getting rich thru insider stock trading like MTG and Dan Crenshaw, or they stay in office and gaslight the public, I predict Bongino will go back on radio or have some type of public facing job, where he will extol all the great things that went on at the FBI when he and Kash Patel were running things.

i thought i read that over last 10 month about 1000 agents and 500 support staff are either no longer there or have been farmed out to field offices. past top honchos are under DOJ investigation - with DC and FL grand juries, in process for possible prosecution.
yes - he has referred to the strain on his marriage - and he has to be concerned about his health with cancer in his past.

To all those that say if Bongino returns to the air they will now listen: Yes, you will. You curiosity will get the best of you.
Bongino has an insiders education now. He can be far more useful spilling the beans. Anyone thinking his small role in just the FBI was the end of his influence doesn’t really understand the big picture.
Didn’t he have health problems? Maybe he wants to make more money for his family too.
He could think he would be more effective during midterms being on the air. He has lots of conservative talk show competition these days. If he goes on the air again, all of his thoughts will come out.

Nobody knows his reasons but Dan. Hopefully his health hasn’t been impacted from the stress, remember he has had cancer. I imagine he was frustrated by the slow movement of Bondi in many ways. He’s probably had to spend more time away from his family than he prepared for as well. I am discouraged a little that he may have found the swamp is more powerful than he imagined.
John Solomon reported last night that he spoke directly to Dan and has been in contact with him since summer.
And what situation is that?
It wasn’t a good fit. I wish him well and hope he doesn’t betray the MAGA movement.
