President Donald Trump said filmmaker and actor Rob Reiner died from "Trump derangement syndrome."
Reiner and his wife were found dead in their Los Angeles home on Sunday, and police are investigating the circumstances as an apparent homicide, authorities said.
"A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
"Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS."
Trump said Reiner suffered from paranoia.
"He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before. May Rob and Michele rest in peace!" he added.
Reiner, 78, was a prominent Hollywood director and actor known for films including "When Harry Met Sally," "The Princess Bride," "Stand by Me," and "A Few Good Men."
He had been an outspoken critic of Trump for years, frequently posting political commentary on social media.
LAPD patrol officers dispatched to Reiner's home late Sunday afternoon discovered two bodies inside the residence. Emergency personnel had first responded to a call for medical aid, a city fire department official said.

Trump is starting to develop a sort of Reiner Dereangement Syndrom, which is weird unless there’s something about this we don’t know. Possibly related to his upcoming meeting with the Obamas?

I don’t think Trump gives a crap about the “backlash” and neither do I because IMHO Reiner was a mouthy anti-American leftist POS. And I’m happy he’s gone.
I mean I get Trump’s hate towards Reiner who pushed the Russian hoax and wanted Trump arrested ect. But the man is dead now under very tragic circumstances and it would behoove Trump to be a bit more circumspect in his comments about it. Please show a little class Mr President.

A tremendously large swathe of people who are not career politicians nevertheless have enough basic decency not to go out of their way to speak ill publicly about someone who was just murdered. Whether they agree with their politics or not.
The idea that someone must either vomit out publicly whatever thoughts pop into their head, or else be a lying, dishonest creep, is a false dichotomy. Most people are able to find a good spot in that large middle ground.
I do; however, get to opine on what I wish he’d said, as it could have, IMHO, helped reinforce public support for his efforts to point out the kind of damage the cartels are doing to the country and why unprecedented force should be used against them.

Fully agree.... it’s just so far out of my realm of reality. It’s staggering.

Trump isn’t a politician but he’s a bright guy. Sometimes he needs to just STFU. I may agree with him but I just know certain statements sound bad and will be shredded by the media. There seems to be no reason to make them other than petulance . It turns some off that would be naturally inclined to love him. I do love the fact that he’s unfiltered and what you see is what you get. He’s no phony and that’s refreshing to many. But sometimes your best comments are the ones you don’t say.

I detested Reiner’s vendetta against Trump, but I take no joy from a tragedy.
