Illegal immigration embraced by progressive evangelicals pushes America toward cultural suicide
The Washington Times ^ | 14 December 2025 | Everett Piper

Last week, the National Association of Evangelicals published its monthly newsletter, whereby it heralded the Christmas season not by celebrating “joy to the world” but by repeating its annual Yuletide claim that because Christ was a “refugee,” all Christians are obligated to welcome all immigrants (regardless of status) into our country, our towns and our neighborhoods.

How are we to do this? How exactly are some 60 million American evangelicals purportedly represented by the National Association of Evangelicals to welcome the “sojourner” and “foreigner” in our midst? What practical steps does the association suggest we take?

The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, a liberal denomination that denies the inerrancy of scripture, has already taken control of evangelical church music along with Universal Music Group, the current 100-tonne gorilla in the field. The Southern Baptist Convention ditched the Baptist Hymnal in favour of going "with the hits" off KLVR-FM Sacramento.

The CBF, via their own Macon, GA college Mercer University, acquired Brentwood-Benson Publishing (Mercer School of Theology) in 2023 from Universal Music Group, which many evangelical churches in the area use for their choral music -- the local Baptist churches primarily use Brentwood-Benson/CBF material for their choirs. In 2024, Mercer acquired Smith and Helwys, the CBF Sunday School publisher. This will allow the CBF to tell churches that use Brentwood-Benson to ditch the SBC for CBF in Sunday School material and push their liberalism.

The more churches support these liberal groups, the more the consequences exist.

Why want they just admit liberal white women mostly are the blame for most of these problems. When we gave them the right to vote, they showed their stupidity by pushing and getting the banning of drinking alcohol.

A idea so stupid it led to organized crime and had to be repealed just 14 years later. As they have gained more power and influence including more and more going into government, we have abruptly lurched leftward ever since, and we are almost at the abyss.

Here on Mississippi coast, our Baptist Church primarily uses the Baptist Hymnal, Heavenly Hymnal occasionally. Our Pastor rejects the “the hits” type of music. Still Hell and Brimstone sermons.

Jesus obeyed the law.

Even the one that sentenced him to death for a crime he didn’t commit.

“Jesus obeyed the law.

Even the one that sentenced him to death for a crime he didn’t commit.”

That statement is insane. The corrupt Jewish religious leaders sentenced him to death and the Romans carried it out.

They’ve bought the lies but they can’t stop the border being closed or the invasion declared, or the mandate to get the invaders the hell out of the country.

Lawlessness, just us and disorder is not a good thing for church or state.

America is having a chance to restore some law, order and justice, for its citizens, and for its invaders.

Then the evangelical orgs can go about their own lawlessness, disorder and just us to their hearts content.

But the country can’t survive it.

And eventually, neither will their orgs survive it..

Neither Pilot, nor Herod (the Roman stooge), was exactly excited about a person who people thought was the rightful king. They had plenty reasons of their own to kill Him.

Re: Jesus being a “refugee”:

Somehow I don’t think any of the illegals in our country got a visit from an angel telling them to go to the United States or their child will be killed. Besides, Jesus, Mary, and Joseph went back home after the danger to Jesus was over.

I saw a commercial pushing that Jesus was a refugee. Totally pissed me off.

And it’s sad that idiots will buy into that.

Jesus was mostly talking about relations between individuals. Jimmy Carter made the mistake of trying to apply it to countries. These people are making the same mistake.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph were indeed refugees, but they were not illegal immigrants. Judea and Egypt were both part of the Roman Empire. And they returned as soon as it was safe to do so.

They weren’t actual refugees. They took a “business trip “ to Bethlehem to participate in the census as required. Then they went home.

Yes, and they fully financed their trip!
No Egyptians were forced to pay them for anything!
No jobs were stollen and no crime committed!
So they were more like tourists visiting neighboring country.
Or CA residents taking refuge from gov. Newsom in AZ.
BTW, the magi presents, gold, frankincense and myrrh were fetching good prices in Egypt. Magi basically financed the Egyptian trip!

Seems like everybody likes to be a commentator. In this instance, it was not the Romans who were the instigators.

This is what Jesus had to say about it:

Matthew 20 —

17 Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them, 18 “We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death 19 and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!”

I'm talking about when they had to flee to Egypt to escape King Herod. They were refugees then.

"Now when they [the Magi] had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there till I tell you; for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him.” And he rose and took the child and his mother by night, and departed to Egypt, and remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfil what the Lord had spoken by the prophet, “Out of Egypt have I called my son.” (Matthew 2:13-15)

“Evangelical Progressives”. There’s an oxymoron if ever I’ve heard one.
