“Neither Pilot, nor Herod (the Roman stooge), was exactly excited about a person who people thought was the rightful king. They had plenty reasons of their own to kill Him.”
Seems like everybody likes to be a commentator. In this instance, it was not the Romans who were the instigators.
This is what Jesus had to say about it:
Matthew 20 —
17 Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them, 18 “We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death 19 and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!”
Cool. And there’s plenty about Pilot and Herod if you care to look.
Heck the first Herod tried to kill him as a baby, if you don’t remember.
But keep up with your agenda.
