Donald Trump has doubled down on his attacks on Rob Reiner after the Hollywood star and his wife were apparently murdered.
The President appeared to blame Reiner and Michele's killings on the liberal director's 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' in a Monday post on Truth Social.
Hollywood celebrities and Republicans pushed back on his statement, with some calling it 'disgusting and vile.'
But the President seemed undeterred in his criticism of the late director.
When pressed by a reporter in the Oval Office about his previous statement, he said: 'Well, I wasn't a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person. As far as Trump was concerned.
'I think he hurt himself, career-wise, he became like a deranged person, [with] Trump derangement syndrome. So I was not a fan of Rob Reiner at all, in any way shape or form. I thought he was very bad for our country.'
Trump also accused Reiner of pushing the 'Russia hoax', the allegation that the President was compromised by the Kremlin during his first term.
He wrote that Reiner, a 'once very talented movie director and comedy star,' passed away, 'reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease' known as TDS - or Trump Derangement Syndrome. The term is used by conservatives to describe disdain for the Republican President.
Trump's post continued: 'He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness.'
The vicious statement about the couple's death highlighted Trump's tendency to attack public figures following their passing. The Republican has also ridiculed the late Senator John McCain and General Colin Powell after they died.

Reiner was a dope and a dupe. He shouldn’t have been killed, or his wife, by a deranged son. That is an absolute tragedy. Reiner didn’t have a chance to come to his senses. What a shame.
Everything else about his obsessive hatred for MAGA and Trump made him an obnoxious person.
Compared to what Reiner said about Trump all the time...Trump’s comments are less disrespectful, and he will probably never mention it again. Note that Trump did not cheer or welcome Reiners death, or say “he had it coming”
Can you imagine what Trump should say if Kathy Griffin is killed by foul play?
Should he say, “She was a marvelous, talented performer, who vividly, and bravely, expressed her thoughts and beliefs”?

The Dems LIE about Trump Everytime they open their mouths. The media reports the lie. It is meant to gaslight young voters.
Don’t talk about ceding “moral ground”. Trump expressed his opinion about Reiner. He said nothing about Reiner deserving death, or cheering it on. True, Trump did not speak like a consoling funeral director, but Reiner consistently lied about Trump.
I mean, if you don’t have anything nice to say . . . especially right after he was killed.
Trump kind of being himself. Then again, maybe his perspective changed a little after he was shot in the ear and almost killed. Now he’s a little more devil-may-care.
This is sheer honesty. During Trump’s first primary campaign in 2016 I hated him, could not stand his personal insults. The one that got me the most was during a primary debate he said regarding Carly Fiorina, “do you want to look at that face for four years”? I did not vote for him in the primary . He also insulted the looks of Ted Cruz’s wife. I can not imagine the humiliation Fiorina or Heidi Cruz must have felt, I still don’t like it.
That said, I have learned that DJT is a better President/leader than he is a man which is far more important to our country.
I would’ve chosen different words as well. But I get it. Trump beef with meathead is on a personal note, much more so than for me.
I also agree with the adage to not speak ill of the dead. Meathead was a meathead for sure. But we can criticize bad ideology and still agree that having one’s throat slit is never a deserved fate. At least I hope we are still that civilized on our side.
Lest we become the same kind of monstrous ghouls the left appears to be. God forbid it!

In my opinion Rob was and is an important part of our culture. I don’t care about his politics. He was pivotal in All in the Family and he made Spinal Tap which is more than little beloved. To make light of a stabbing is not Christian. Be better 47.

But it would be celebrated by the media. The left doesn’t care if you are “moral”. They want you to produce for the “leadership”..the people get what’s left over. Read about the communists in Russia and why it failed.
