Should anyone who can afford a tattoo complain about not being able to afford a $400 bill at an emergency room? People who live paycheck to paycheck-is there an excuse for them not to save when this kinda stuff is going on?

What does it buy our party when we confront the millions who waste their money on such frivolous items and then turn to the government for assistance?

Tattoos are like BMW's. An expensive waste of money.

Are lefties more likely to wear tattoos? Probably because they’re young.

Tattoos are nature’s way of telling you that you are a financial idiot.

“Tattoos are like BMW’s. An expensive waste of money.”

The excess ink goes to your lymph glands where they sit and interfere with the work of those glands. The more tattoos you get, the more damage to the lymph glands.

“Lymph glands, or lymph nodes, play a crucial role in the immune system by filtering lymphatic fluid and helping to fight infections and diseases.”

It's an investment in his future.

Maybe not a good investment, and perhaps not towards a good future, but whatever.

I’ve watched many videos from younger people who complain about not being able to afford things like groceries, rent, health bills, etc. But in almost every case, they all are almost covered in tattoos. So I have to question their priorities.

Why the gratuitous slap at the fine decade-old Bavarian automobile in my garage? If you’re aware of another make that produces such a sweet inline 6-cylinder engine, let me know. De gustibus non disputandum est.

An example of the faux "affordability crisis".

Just because you can't afford living expenses, doesn't mean living expenses are unaffordable. It means you have made bad choices.

After we bought our first house, we spent the first 18 months on the floor in sleeping bags. We had our first child, and she spent her first three months in a dresser drawer on the floor, next to our sleeping bags. We lived very rural, and had our freezer full of Venison from mostly highway kills.

Those were our best memories. No television. An old apple tree provided enough nasty apples for applesauce cakes,& canned spiced apples, We kept bee hives as a hobby activity. We cut, split, and stacked our 8 months worth of wood for the stove.

We had no money, but we had no crisis of affordability. Weekends of walking in the woods, fishing in the local lake, and volunteering for community cleanups and beach raking kept us socially busy.

Why did he get a college refund?

When I was growing up in the 60’s and 70’s my mother always stated, “If you see someone who has tattoos, you know they either got them before the were 21 or they’re stupid.”

That always stuck with me, so I never got a tattoo.

But, I’ve also known a lot of very intelligent people who had tattoos. But, I’ll say too, most of them got them before they were 21.

Tattoos are lot more popular and less frowned upon today, than they were back then among the general population.

More proof of the brain development research being on the right track.

“The human brain continues developing into the mid-to-late 20s, with significant maturation of the prefrontal cortex (decision-making area) often cited around age 25, though some research points to processes continuing into the early 30s, with some studies even suggesting full network reorganization by age 32.”

“While physical size is nearly adult by age 6, fine-tuning of neural connections, especially for impulse control and emotional regulation, happens throughout adolescence and young adulthood, making the brain highly adaptable but vulnerable during these years.”
—National Institutes of Health website.

The fact he’s afraid to tell his parents about it means deep down he knows it was wrong.

He’s just too selfish to make the right decision.

I heard there was a scene in the Wedding Crashers movie where one of the characters commented on women with “tramp stamps,” to the effect that they are an indicator of sexual promiscuity. According to the account, several women in the audience audibly gasped in surprise.

I guess they didn’t get the memo.

I got one when I was a nineteen year old 101st Air Cav trooper. It was $35 somewhere outside gate 4. I don’t regret it but haven’t had any since.

There was a student I went to school with who spent her Pell Grant on furniture. Oh, and she was on welfare and had Section 8.
