A DoorDash delivery driver has been accused of dousing a food order in pepper-spray, which caused a customer to choke on her dinner.
Mark Cardin, 42, and his wife ordered food from Arby's on Sunday, only for their night to take a sick turn.
'I noticed my wife had started eating and she started choking and gasping, and after she had a couple bites of her food she actually threw up,' Cardin told 14 News.
The panicked husband began looking for clues and was horrified to realize the bag their food had been delivered in appeared to have been tampered with.
'I had to look at the bag and see that there was some kind of spray or something,' he fumed.
Furious, Cardin went to investigate.
As he checked footage from their doorbell camera, he watched in disgust as the purple-haired woman delivering their food appeared to spray something onto the food bag.

First off, being too lazy to go get your own Arby's causes me to have limited sympathy for these two.
Also, personally speaking, I don't believe in food delivery......too many people handling my food to begin with much less some subcontractor as well......no telling where those meathooks have been.
Gives me the creeps just thinking about it. YEESH

Regardless of their situation, tampering with peoples' food should be a very serious felony. The purple-haired miscreant should spend the next ten years or so of its wretched life as a guest of the State ... and should be served only nutraloaf for the entire time.

LOL. paying exorbitant fees and tips to order food which looks like crap when handed to you in the store, much less after having been carried around in someone's car, makes zero sense to me.

I’m uncomfortable with food handled in restaurants. People are just plain nucking futs.
Speaking of Arby’s, last time I got a take out my sandwich looked like the one on the right.
Probably shouldn’t have been surprised though considering the rap music blasting from the kitchen.
Got a buddy that worked in a very respectable steakhouse in my town back in the 80s.......he told me once if he shared the stories of things he saw in the kitchen I’d never eat out again.....and it doesn’t matter how nice the restaurant is either.......he said they ALL do it.
Once again, the point here is not the quality of the food ordered from Arby’s. Door Dash is also an available service many companies participate in. The point is not whether door dash is a good idea for people to use. The people getting the food may be lazy, or they may be ill and this seemed like a good idea.
People have been having pizza delivered for decades.
The point is that the purple haired criminal attempted to cause severe harm to the people using the service.
She deserves prison for this.
I wouldn’t use Door Dash. I don’t usually eat fast food, except maybe Culvers.
Eating out can be dangerous in this country now that some people think murder is okay if it is someone you don’t agree with.
Eons ago, my (then) girlfriend worked at Arbys.
She refused to eat there ...

My question is, are these people so desperate for employees that they hire people with purple hair?
My neighbors daughter orders a lot of food delivered......last two I saw were on their phones the whole time speaking some foreign language.
I suspect the requirements to get the food delivery gig are pretty low.
It’s bad enough that you don’t know who is handling your food between the counter and the kitchen, but then allowing some complete stranger to take it out of the restaurant and bring it to your house opens up a whole new set of unknowns. Personally I would never have French fries delivered. They are perishable with a life of fewer than five minutes. After that they are not French fries any more. But I do go to the fast food restaurants once in a while and I prefer to eat inside. I get to watch all of the Middle Eastern men walking in to pick up food orders. I think six or more will come through in the 20 minutes that I am there. Thinking about it, I have yet to see a woman pick up a food order. It may be geographical but I have seen Middle Eastern men picking up food orders in San Luis Obispo and in my own town.
I was a night manager at Arbys for one year many decades ago.
The food so disgusted me that I lost a bunch of weight and got ridiculously skinny.
(Of course these days I don’t have that problem. Lol.)
To be fair ... my GF’s objection wasn’t that the place was unsanitary, or that the employees were engaged in any sort of malfeasance. Neither was the case. Rather ... the problem was the ‘food’ itself, straight out of the package. She compared unpackaging the ‘meat’ to opening a can of SPAM ... but SPAM came out ahead in the comparison.
