You may want to consider which state you’re in when you put together your Christmas playlist this season.
A study by FinanceBuzz used Google Trends to figure out which Christmas song is the trendiest in each state, with a variety of familiar tracks making it on the list. You might be surprised by the results.
“All I Want for Christmas Is You”
“Jingle Bells”
“Santa Baby”
“Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!”
“Run Rudolph Run”
“Blue Christmas”
“Feliz Navidad”
“It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”
“A Holly Jolly Christmas”
“Last Christmas”
“White Christmas”
My personal favorite is “Oh Holy Night”
A modern one (if you call 50 years old modern) no one mentioned is also a distant second favorite and I am somewhat surprised no one ever mentions it. Greg Lake “I Believe In Father Christmas”. Which is actually a subtle dig at the over commercialization of the season.

Excellent addition. Love that song. :)
“It’s a pretty sad commentary on our times that there are no actual Christmas carols.”
Exactly. Here’s a list of all the classic Christmas Carols with some background about their origins and wonderful arrangements.

I LOVE, ‘Coventry Carol’ and it breaks my HEART at the same time. :(
“[Coventry Carol] can be traced all the way back to 16th-century England. The lyrics refer to the ‘Massacre of the Innocents’ by King Herod, who in an attempt to ensure the death of the baby Jesus, ordered the death of all male children under the age of two in Bethlehem.
Christianity has proven to have survived a LOT throughout History. MACA! Make America Christian Again!
Can’t Hurt! Might Help! :)
See Post #203 for some Good News! :)
“Everyone knows that ‘I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas’ is the most popular song across the lower 48.”
My sister and I RACE to remind one another of that every year!
‘Mr. Grinch’ is in a three way tie with, ‘I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas’ and ‘Grandma Got Run Over by A Reindeer.’
Fourth Runner Up is, ‘I’m Gettin’ Nothin’ for Christmas.’
I’m just making this up! ;)
