You may want to consider which state you’re in when you put together your Christmas playlist this season.

A study by FinanceBuzz used Google Trends to figure out which Christmas song is the trendiest in each state, with a variety of familiar tracks making it on the list. You might be surprised by the results.

“All I Want for Christmas Is You”

“Jingle Bells”

“Santa Baby”

“Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!”

“Run Rudolph Run”

“Blue Christmas”

“Feliz Navidad”

“It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”

“A Holly Jolly Christmas”

“Last Christmas”

“White Christmas”

While I’ve never been a fan of her politics, I think Joan Baez’s Christmas album: “Noël” is likely one of the most musically-gorgeous I can think of.

I especially like her versions of “I Wonder as I Wander” and “Carol of the Birds”.

Your wife is very frightful
Her sanity id doubtful
And if she’s hanging off a ledge
Let her go, let her go, let her go

As she’s plummeting to the ground
Your face loses it frown
And she’s falling into space
Now get back into the human race

It’s a pretty sad commentary on our times that there are no actual Christmas carols.

My all time favorite is *O Holy Night*.

None of these are Christmas songs.

Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. These are Satan's fakes to replace Christmas.

I have several Christmas songs I enjoy. Some songs are the same but sung by different artists. Here are a few of my favorites.

A Christmas Waltz by Frank Sinatra

Hark, The Herald Angels Sing by different singers

Jingle Bells – the version by Frank Sinatra where the backup singers spell out Jingle Bells and Johnny Mercer’s version

Silver Bells by different singers

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas - I like this song a lot but my two favorite versions are by Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra. The version by Sinatra is when he changes the lyrics to “put a shining star on the highest bow.”

Winter Wonderland by different singers.

The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole – the best version.

I’ll Be Home For Christmas by different singers.

It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas – I like Bing Crosby’s and Perry Como’s version the best.

Run, Rudolph, Run by Chuck Berry

Jingle Bell Rock – the version by Bobby Helms and Randy Travis are my favorites

Linus and Lucy (Christmas Dance)

All I Want for Christmas (Is My Two Front Teeth) – the version by the Andrews Sisters and Danny Kaye

Please Come Home For Christmas - The Eagles cover is my favorite version

Blue Christmas - by Elvis

Santa Claus Is Back In Town - by Elvis and by the Honeydrippers (from Saturday Night Live)

Interesting that none of the songs listed have anything to do with the birth of Christ.

These articles always tamper with or manipulate the results to make the article more interesting.

Everyone knows that “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” is the most popular song across the lower 48.
