Today's Cryptogram Challenge
Ready for a mental workout? 🧠 A Cryptogram is a classic quotation puzzle frequently featured in daily publications. I source the best and most challenging ones to help keep our minds sharp and boost cognitive health!
In a Cryptogram, a single letter always stands for another letter.
(Example: AXYDLBAAXR might translate to LONGFELLOW. This is just an example and does not apply to today’s puzzle.)
If this is your first time, don’t be intimidated—the game is very addictive, and you will quickly master the technique! If you find yourself stumped, simply take a break and return to it later. ☕
Please follow these guidelines for the best experience for everyone:
Feel free to post a fun or clever clue—the more tangential to the quotation the better! Just remember that your clue must not contain the actual words of the solved quote.
Good luck, and enjoy the challenge! 🍀
Have a wonderful time with Today’s Cryptogram. I would be interested if you have any routine to doing this word puzzle, and when you them. Is it with morning coffee? Is there anyone else in the household that you do them with. They’re great to do with someone who loves doing them as much as you do, to see who can do them faster.
Alone, with morning coffee and cheese toast topped with jalapeno jam.

NATURE ALONE CAN LEAD TO THE UNDERSTANDING OF ART, JUST AS ART BRINGS US BACK TO NATURE WITH GREATER AWARENESS. IT IS THE SOURCE OF ALL BEAUTY, SINCE IT IS THE SOURCE OF ALL LIFE. --EUGÈNE CARRIÈRE
HAL'S CRYPTOGRAM HELPER
Excellent quote today, uplifting, prescient and from a source who knew a thing or two. Well chosen, with no puerile inanity. A+
Alone, in the morning with chai, as a mental exercise and cultural/spiritual uplift. I always use Hal’s cryptogram helper on an e-tablet.

Is the inertia of a body dependent on its energy content?
I do these every morning after my devotionals, with coffee, alone (except for Hal :D). My dog never helps.
God does not play dice with the universe.
I do these in the morning after breakfast and with my coffee. I do them alone. Mr. VASkypilot is not into cryptograms. I never time myself, then the exercise is not relaxing.
I usually do them shortly after firing up the computer after feeding the cats in the morning, before coffee or breakfast. Occasionally I end up finishing it later in the day after waking up more.
That guy had ADD.
Dr. Marc Siegel has a book out about this.
I try to do them first thing. No coffee. I look forward to them because of the variety. Some serious. Some funny. Thanks to everyone for all your hard work!!
I like to do them in my head with no pen and paper or helper. I also attempt to solve it from beginning to end.
Of course, I skip around the puzzle looking for other instances of a given letter, to test my theories on what their value is.. but I make myself ‘commit’ to a word’s meaning before moving on and solving to the next word.
In the rare cases where I am unable to do that - I sometimes resort use Hal’s helper, but still complete the puzzle from beginning to end.
I’m doing this in part to exercise my memory, so I figure the challenge of retaining the solutions in my head as I solve them makes it a better memory challenge,
Oops. I thought I was on the thread for the next day’s puzzle. Anyway, I used the same approach for this much easier one.
