The 30-year-old Virginia man accused of planting pipe bombs near Capitol Hill on the eve of the January 6, 2021 riots is an autistic recluse and ‘computer nerd’ who has no party affiliation, his grandmother told the Daily Mail on Friday.
Brian Cole confessed and told his FBI interrogators that he is a Trump supporter and holds anarchist views, MSNOW reported citing unnamed sources.
But Loretta, his grandmother, said Cole has no party affiliation and never votes.
Rather, he keeps to himself, living in his mother’s basement in Woodbridge, Virginia, where he’s been grieving the loss of his beloved pet chihuahua, while working a data entry job for his family’s bail bonds business.
‘He’s not politically affiliated with anything,’ the grandmother told the Daily Mail during an interview at her home in Gainesville, Virginia. 'He has no social media contacts. He’s never online going back and forth with politics or anything like that. He says he don’t like either party.
'He’s borderline autistic,’ she added. 'He’s slow. He may be 30, but he’s got the mind of a 16-year-old. That’s why we’re thinking - What the hell? What’s going on?’

She said she doesn’t believe the charges.
'This young man is very calm and quiet,' she said. 'He just stays to himself. Nobody bothers him because he doesn’t bother anybody.
'He doesn’t have a girlfriend,’ she added. 'That’s how slow he is. He’s just off in a little world on his own. He stays downstairs and he used to be with his dog all the time.'

Wow, it’s the first time in history for a criminal to lie.
Some have proposed that Cole, Jr’s claims to be pro-Trump and to believe the election was stolen is an attempt to qualify for Trump’s pardon for J6ers. But the pardon doesn’t cover planting bombs on Jan 5... He can sing “Poor Poor Pitiful Me”.
The family business is a deepstate op IMHO. The finances don’t math. The support is coming from somewhere.

He holds down a job. My two nephews now in their 50's who were adopted by my brother and his wife when they were 3 months old have mental disabilities. They spent their school days in special education, but are hard working guys who have never been without a job, own their own cars, pay for their own insurance, share an apartment, do their own laundry, housecleaning, shopping, etc. and still keep an eye on my sister-in-law when my niece and her family are away.

Components matching the bomb material was tracked to him via his credit card purchases. Apparently he used 5-6 cards to purchase different items. They also used his cell phone records to track his locations I believe. I read that Christopher Wray had the guy's license plate number from the beginning. Don't know how factual that is. I also heard that Wray's FBI had most of this info back then. Since Biden kept Wray on through his stolen term, I figure the only reason none of this came to light during that time, was because they wanted to be able to continue to run with the rumor that it was a MAGA supporter who had planted them. Not sure if they found anything on a laptop or computer like instructions on how to build the pipe bombs.
The FBI has all that info, and the credit card receipts for his various purchases. They also have cell phone records and his locations. It will all be provided as evidence to a jury, with expert testimony I’m sure. Just because he’s autistic doesn’t mean he isn’t a criminal. Maybe he was manipulated by others...maybe not.
But, but, but......
AFAIK there has been NO discussion of the pyrotechnic material.
I hadn't heard of any myself. Perhaps they are keeping that specific info away from the media so they can't run with it and manipulate the facts.
I wonder if he had a “ handler” directing his purchases. Sounds like a real homebody. You don’t test bombs in mom’s basement,
