“Enthusiasm by L.A. donors is very strong and very encouraging, big checks are being written,” longtime Democratic insider James Costos insists, with a looming big DNC gathering in the City of Angels later this month. “It was a slow build early on as we recovered from the loss in November, but there has been momentum building, No Kings events, legal wins, the Kimmel effect, resistance growing and it’s turning into clear ways to fight back against the administration’s overreach and organize to win in 2026 and 2028,” the former Barack Obama-era ambassador to Spain and HBO exec says.

I think you are wrong about Vance, he is no Pence. I do doubt he could win the general. While l do not trust Rubio l think he would have a much better chance of winning the Presidency but l don’t know if he can survive the primary.

Vance is Conservative, articulate, likable, strong, and brave beyond brave. A traditional American from a hard-scrabble upbringing and with clearly visible family values.
Vance has a good connection with the middle America folks, and will reel in voters from all strata. Vance will prevail in any and all debates.
And (DJT excepted, of course) United States presidents should be Military Veterans.
I think he will continue Trump's policies but my question is whether he has the charisma to hold together the MAGA Coalition. Right now, we have Trump and he is able to appeal to different blocs in the Coalition, it may all fall apart after the end of Trump's term.
As a resident of San Francisco with an unblemished record for *NOT* voting for The Gav for 22 years, I can’t wrap my head around the idea of this annoying jackass winning nationally. I get it that he’s got a big mouth, and he looks and dresses like Patrick Bateman in ‘American Pscyho’... but is that enough to win when his entire record is kowtowing to woke causes, incompetence and abysmal failure? Some might say, well, he can be kind of like a “white Obama.” I would argue that no, he can’t. Obama was able to snow people because he had no record as an executive, so folks were able to project their wishful thinking on a blank canvas.
Because they were so successful with kamalalaladingdong!
