That’s a big gator...
It took 8 or 9 deputies, all working together, to load the gator into a pick-up truck.
The alligator’s jaws had been taped shut.
It’s a variant specific to the state of Florida, sort of like Florida Man is a variant of man specific to Florida.
It’s been said that an alligator’s tail is as dangerous as the jaws......if not even MORE dangerous.
Why are they shot, skinned, and the meat offered for sale?
I never knew gators had a retirement plan. This one lives off the state from now on.

But he’s a piker compared to what quietly lays in wait in the Atchafalya or the Choke Canyon reservoir....critters big enough in both of em that could likely swallow a man whole....
