"US investigators believe the evidence points to Sumeet Sabharwal, the flight’s captain, deliberately crashing the plane, The Wall Street Journal reported......American investigators were banned from taking photos of the wreckage, some of which was moved before they could examine it, sources said."

Cultural sensitivities?....an Indian investigator told US officials India is “not a third world country” and “can do anything you all can do”.
Folks, these fuel shutoff switches are of a lever-lock design - you can't just bump them to turn them to the off position. It has to be deliberate. Turning them off requires a motion to pull against a spring, then down over the mechanical lock that keeps them in the raised (on) position.
Flags: the timing of the two shutoffs, one right after the other; the long pause before any action was taken; the captain's odd response.
This reminds me of Egypt's attempted cover-up of the suicidal (relief) copilot's deliberate crashing of EgyptAir 990, on Oct. 31st, 1999. Alone in the cockpit, he disconnected the autopilot and plunged the 767 into the ocean yelling “Tawakkalt ala Allah” - often translated as “I rely on God.” When the captain got back into the cockpit and struggled to regain control, the copilot finally shut off the fuel switches, just as happened with this Air India crash. As I remember the reports, even though the captain eventually pulled out of the (briefly supersonic) dive to a climb, an engine pod fell off and they plunged into the ocean.
In the case of Egypt Air, the mistake the Egyptians made was to invite US investigators to participate, just as in this Air India crash investigation. The NTSB and Boeing (plus GE, FAA as advisers) are participants in the Air India international investigation, led by the Indian aviation investigators, AAIB.
The truth must come out.
This may have been an airline thing not a Boeing thing.
This is nothing compared to our feds covering for Boeing 🙄.
Why do suicidal folks want to take others with them?
It had absolutely nothing to do with the manufacturer of the airplane.
IF it did have to do with Boeing, OUR authorities would have covered (and DO actively cover up) it up even more than the Indians are for their airline. So spare me your “concern” Boeing sycophants! 🙄🙄🙄
Another somewhat recent one was the GermanWings (subsidiary of Lufthansa) Airbus A320-211 on 24 March 2015.
The copilot locked the captain out when he left the cockpit (probably to use the lav), then proceeded to crash the airplane into the French Alps, killing all 150 aboard.
You sound like a Democrat with all the projecting.
I’ll bet you’re stomping the floor, jumping up and down.
Take a chill pill.
And it has blood on its hands namely from the two 737 Max crashes, several domestic close calls, and their threats against whistleblowers.
And Boeing outsources their own manufacturing to $9 /hour labor from India so it’s like…just cut it with the hypocrisy…
I do my fair share of Boeing bashing but this had nothing to do with Boeing. The Dreamliner is a modern rock solid airplane. They don’t just fall out of the sky. The captain known to be suffering from mental health problems crashed the plane, plain and simple.
Please. That is nonsense. All manufacturing/ assembly takes place at Boeing's Everett and Renton plants in WA state. I have visited the Everett plant and watched the assembly of 747's and the 787's (Dreamliner) with my own eyes. It's something to behold. Airplane assembly is a highly specialized job and no assembly is done by $9/hr Indians either here or in India.
Outsourcing re: Boeing software***
Yes, I think so too.
The Dreamliner is a very successful airplane - and an amazing design. This was the first crash.
The Indian government, the AAIB, and the pilot’s union are all circling the wagons, denying the obvious.
I’ve been to the Future of Flight Museum in Everett several times and did the Everett factory tour twice - it’s an amazing view from the catwalk watching two assembly lines at the same time.

Two Muslim pilots.
Ethiopia would not allow Boeing and USA investigators to visit the crash site or examine the wreckage for more than a week.
Two Muslim pilots also in the the Indonesia 737 MAX crash into the Pacific Ocean in 2018.
Although in relatively shallow coastal water, it took several weeks before Boeing and USA experts had full access.
The whistleblowers for Boeing’s corruption have been white and American.
The international pilots were less prepared for the software quirks that Boeing FAILED to highlight. It’s not like they’re crashing other while planes left and right.
Spare me the racist gas lighting you guys sound like Nazis!

As a regular watcher of aircraft accident reconstruction video shows I haven’t seen that to be the case.
Now… who are you and what have you done with CondoleezzaProtege? 😀😀
I have Air Force family ties…
And you’re right they don’t need to cover it up. So long as it’s not a domestic crash, Boeing can pay and lobby their way out of anything including explicit crime.
