ALEXANDRIA, VA—In an effort to root out racism, the Salvation Army announced they will no longer be accepting any donations in the form of bills or coins that have white people on them.
“Ever since we learned that racism is everywhere, all the time, ingrained in every aspect of life, we realized most U.S. currency depict the faces of white men who only did evil, racist things in their lives,” said the Commander-in-Chief of the Salvation Army, Clurvis Bellman. “We then decided the best way to feed, clothe, and comfort the poor and needy is to stop accepting money tarnished with the faces of men who were basically Hitler.”
This new policy has required some modifications to their standard donation procurement; red donation buckets seen outside of retail establishments will now be accompanied by a bell ringer, a money examiner, and a public shamer to loudly criticize the donor for trying to help the poor with evil, white supremacist money.
The Salvation Army later announced they have defeated racism and have also filed for bankruptcy.

Many indicated it should have been titled “Let’s Talk About How to Revive Racism”. This revival meant exhuming the rotting or desiccated carcasses of racist expressions from prior generations for creating the philosophical underpinnings needed. I like Thomas Sowell’s comment on the subject when he said, “Racism is not dead, but it is on life support -- kept alive by politicians, race hustlers and people who get a sense of superiority by denouncing others as 'racists'”.
The criticism centered around the idea that WP and CRT are expressions of Cultural Marxism. The point being that these theories cannot live peaceably with federal republicanism or individual autonomy, and in fact must replace it. It also conflicts with the Classical Christian faith that influenced the founding of the country. Here are the best sources I have found on the subject and next is the Babylon Bee article.

The Falsehood of White Privilege

I have not donated since - too many other charities are in need that don’t think I am a racist and owe everyone an apology.
This document wasn’t created overnight - it had to have taken a year or more so the entire time I was donating to them, they were planning on making white people apologize to them for being white. Just revulsive. And scary that this went all the way to the top with every single person every step of the way signing off with approval. Makes me wonder if they treat the people in need different based on color.
Well, while the Bahamian $3 banknote has a white woman’s picture on it, the $1 and the $20 feature Black men.
So they make suitable donations for liberal causes.
“The criticism centered around the idea that WP and CRT are expressions of Cultural Marxism.”
Marxism embodied CT, Critical Theory. The working class would revolt to overthrow the overlords. Money and effort was given to that cause.
This didn’t work as the working class generally making progress.
So, they “invented” Critical RACE Theory. Blacks would start the revolt.

Same here. Even when I was a poor college kid I’d send the SA $10 a month. I’ve since found better, non-political charities.
The Salvation Army sure went off the rails spectacularly.
But I will say this. I still admire the SA for not going crazy with executive salaries. Too many so-called charities pay their leadership as if they were kings.
No Problem, I always donate to the Salvation Army using these:

They send the message necessary.
Go woke, go broke.
Good question.
At Christmas there are just too many other local options before considering something so quirky.
Only AA bell ringers need apply.
Priceless.
I may start using them.
Two of the supermarkets near me gave up on having bell ringers in front the first year the Salvation Army exposed themselves as racist, likely due to no donations, but there is a third one farther away that I shop at once in a while. They sporadically have a bell ringer out front.
The Salvation Army needs to disappear into the Communist dust bin of history.
Good Idea!

“the uproar created by a Salvation Army (SA) internal publication on racism that relied heavily on White Privilege (WP) and Critical Race Theory (CRT) and was deleted when criticized.”
That’s when I stopped ringing bells and donating to SA.
I remember — must’ve been around 2016-17. I would ring bells every year with my quilting friend, and she died in 2018.
I just threw $1 million Zimbabwe dollars in their kettle today, that should make them happy and set them for the year.
Oh, good for you. They can mail them direct to their chapter in Zimbabwe. You are so generous.
Decades later, probably around 2010, I noticed that the ringers were less and less cheerful, even the indoors ones. I continued to donate, wish them "Merry Christmas and God Bless you", until I realized they didn't hear it; they were staring at their phones, didn't even acknowledge the donation. That was the end of my donating.
I wouldn't be surprised if the current crop of ringers are stealing half the money from the pot. Very, very sad and disappointing.
So... will they accept Sacagawea dollars?
Or are those out too since she helped the evil white Lewis and Clark in their cross-continent colonization expedition.
Well.... There is always the Booker T. Washington half dollar coin.
