Baby Boomers Better Beware
Matthew’s Substack ^ | 20 Apr, 2025 | Matt Bracken

Posted on 11/29/2025 6:06:39 AM PST by MtnClimber

Folks in the post-war generation born between 1946 and 1964 are now sixty or older. Scanning social media, it’s hard to miss the anger building against Baby Boomers. Those born after them are increasingly placing the blame for their woes on the unrelenting greed of the Baby Boomer generation. They believe that the Boomers had the sheer luck to be born when America was in its ascendency, and so they accumulated all the wealth, and now they are determined to take it all with them to the grave, not sharing a penny with the generations which came after.

[DISCLAIMER: This post about growing PERCEPTIONS of Boomers. It’s not about how I feel, it’s about the growing anger toward older Americans, deserved or not.]

The image posted on this Twitter / X thread sums up the situation.

The picture of an older man giving two middle fingers to the camera unleashed a torrent of generational rage.

[X post image at link...Language warning]

And it’s not just a few random posts I’ve cherry picked from social media. It’s everywhere. Any search will bring up results like these below:

So add anger toward the Baby Boomer generation to the anger of Blacks against Whites, the poor against the rich, socialists against capitalists, Democrats against Trump Republicans, and a witch’s brew of social anger is being stirred with more and more fire building under the bubbling pot.

Our social contract is so frayed that when riots begin the withheld anger boils over.

White Baby Boomers living in single-family homes in affluent suburbs will be at the greatest risk of any demographic. The anger toward them will be come from several social vectors at the same time. People displaced from urban cores by rampant criminality will have no compunction at all against invading the homes of empty-nest Baby Boomers. Their lives will be taken in the first minutes if they are fortunate. If not, their prolonged abuse and torture will serve to amuse the new tenants. Read up on what happens to farmers in South Africa when their homes are attacked if you think I’m being hyperbolic. This is one screen capture, I could post pages and pages.

Do you think that the people who live in nice suburbs like the one shown below are ready for the hellscape and sh**storm that will ensue if and when America suffers a social breakdown, one that can result from any of the maladies now simmering in that witch’s cauldron? We could experience a financial collapse of our own creation, or a cyber attack by our enemies, or a direct kinetic attack against our exposed and undefended power grid.

Will the folks living on these leafy suburban streets be ready for armed, organized and mobile bands of desperate urban poor who are looking to relocate and upgrade their crib at the same time? In third-world countries, these homes would at least have walls around them. In our current “high trust” society, these homes can be approached from all directions, without as much as a security guard in sight. And you can take it at as given fact that there will be no official police making house calls, and your desperate calls to 911 will only get a busy signal, or a taped “please hold” message. If even that.......SNIP

We are such idiots.

It’s the same as resentment by race or gender or religion or whatever.

Distracting and missing the real enemy.

If you're actually interested in how young men think and why, watch this Tucker Carlson interview with Nalin Haley. It starts at 46 mins 14 secs.

Why Is Nick Fuentes So Popular? Nikki Haley's Son Explains.

Contrarily, I keep telling my brother, someone is going to spend it, it might as well be you instead of the nieces and nephews.

Joke I saw on a webcast recently.

Q. A young conservative man walks into an assembly of new college freshman at an elite college and realizes that only ten percent of his classmates are white males.

What does he call Nick Fuentes?

A. A moderate.

We have built a bad world.
We have voted for bad politicians.
We have tolerated bad legislation.
We have constructed bad institutions and establishments.
We have been poor parents and raised generations ill-prepared for life.

I don’t think “tweaking” things is going to fix anything. I think it’s going to all come crashing down.

What about all the white male Boomers who had to step to the side and watch every perceived minority get preferential treatment? Oh, the anger is one-sided.

Ridiculous. If things were to deteriorate that far that quickly it is the entire nation and people that should beware, not just a generation. It is all over for everyone.

And of course the majority of boomers have been footing the bills for their mature children for some time now, according to Dave Ramsey.

That is not even getting into the nonsense of housing problems being the boomers’ fault.

YEP, I am taking mine with me...........................

I worked my ass off for everything I have. I was once homeless, living out of my car (a 1976 Mercury Comet) working two part-time jobs while finishing college in 1985.

I still remember to this very day what it was like choosing between gas for the car to stay warm at night in the winter, and get to work the next day vs. getting something to eat.

So many times I didn't know where my next meal was coming from and were it not for the kindness of friends (and sometimes their parents) I'm not sure I'd be here today. It's honestly by the grace of God that I am.

Part of going through what I went through, was to instill the value of education and a good work ethic onto my own two sons. In that regard, both work very hard for everything they have, and they don't have much. Dad helps (when they allow me to) and I did help my oldest son buy his first home. My youngest says he wants to do it himself, despite my pleading with him to not deny his dad the joy of helping him.

Whoever wants to be mad at me for being a boomer and ending up successful and where I am in life, frankly I don't care. You don't know my story, you don't know what I've done, you don't know who I've helped and "paid it forward to" and none of that.

You just want to be angry because you want to blame someone else, rather than put in the work. Frankly, sucks to be you and with your attitude you'll never get anywhere.

I was poor, had almost NOTHING and at times didn't know where my next meal was coming from. I made choices you'll probably never have to make. And yet, here I am.

Greatest country in the world. Put in the work, remain determined and anyone can succeed here. Stop blaming everyone who has what you want, and put in the work.

Otherwise, just shut up. Y'all sound like whiny little entitled to everything without working for it brats.

I was part of the silent generation(guess that’s what they call it) & really hold no anger for any other group so long as they are law abiding. If they are not, then it’s another matter, but I try to withhold any real anger. It would be proper, however to say I am discontent with them in some cases. I live on SS and do the best I can with not too many problems.

First reaction here too. If their plan is violence or murder coming through my front door, I will go down ventilating as many as possible before my time ends. If I live, I’ll get to piss on their dead bodies. If I die, I will leave this life with honor protecting my family and I to the end.

I don’t agree with the above attacks on the Boomers. But what they are guilty of, beginning with Bill Clinton, is starting quantitative easing as a way of life. Stealing the value of the US Dollar to play around with. Which is why real assets have inflated, such as housing.

Also, immigration has increased demand. Ironic that Yuan Yi Zhu is leading the charge against home prices when he’s likely new to the country. But feels free to attack Boomers.

Baby boomers should be at most 10 years after ww2. 1946-56.

Kids born in 1964 could have come from babies born in 1946!.

I do agree that someone has told these kids today that nothing is their fault.

That 60's and 70's kids had it easy, the bus to high paying jobs was free and would pick them up everyday whenever they wanted to roll out of bed and take them to work 🤣 .

And work was an 8 hour coffee break with free doughnuts all day. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The truth is very different.

I personally was washing dishes under the table at 13,, worked 9p-3am friday and saturday nights. And the work hours only got longer as i got older ..

And kids, gtfo with your " work/life " balance B.S.

Maybe there wouldn’t be such rage against boomers if we hadn’t offshored the younger generations’ futures for the promise of cheap prices.
