I watched a show about Ed Guine and the doctor said his brain split into two. One side was a very nice normal person, the other side was a monster. He was caught with a lady hanging by her feet in his barn gutted like a deer and he had no idea it happened. He said he would never do that to such a nice lady he considered a friend.
The movies "Psycho" and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" got their ideas from his real life case.

The could not foresee a society that would abandon standards for individual behavior and personal accountability. Much less a society that would choose a trophy for all, instead of rewarding only excellent performance.
A free society requires a citizenry that values knowledge, respect for others, self control, and virtue. Few share these values today.
I’ve always thought that the founding fathers thinking was above average...especially compared to some of the idiotic stuff I am hearing nowadays. Of course, I can’t say that maybe some idiotic thinking wasn’t going on in the old days also, but at least most of the sensible ideas went into our laws.
Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, to focus on just 2 of them ,were scientific geniuses. I wish I was half the man they were.
